Re: Tourist Schengen Visa for Tourists

It was the one at Wilson indeed. pentayan, might it be partly a sales tactic to get applicants to use the overpriced computers and printing services?

Re: Tourist Schengen Visa for Tourists

The guys at the visa centre are really experienced with these things. If they are telling you in good faith you will be refused, I wouldn't attempt if I were you. They see acceptance and refusal day in day out and if they judged you won't get it, there is no point trying. Because next time, you wou...

Re: Tourist Schengen Visa for Tourists

My course ends officially in July 2020, BRP expires in November 2020. The trip commences in February 2020 and for four days only. Is that cutting it too close or ‘ really near the end of you student visa’? Of course I won’t be applying in June.

Tourist Schengen Visa for Tourists

I applied for a tourist Schengen visa at the Swedish VAC and it seemed as if I was in for nervousness. Because the agent told me that as a student, I had high risk of refusal since my course was ending on the same year as I was applying. However I did not have a problem like this before even with th...

Tier 4 extension timelines

I'm planning to apply to extend my existing Tier 4 visa which expires 21.07 and plan to use the standard service to lodge an application by 1st week of May. The Home Office says that it takes up to eight weeks but based on recent experience, does it take less than that? I am planning to travel in Ju...

Swedish Schengen Visa for a 2nd Time

Hello there! Last year I was issued a multiple-entry Schengen visa from the Swedish Embassy. After the visit it was originally intended for, I visited Sweden two more times on that visa. I plan to apply for another Swedish Schengen visa for a June trip but this time to also visit other cities I have...

Re: Valid Visa on Expired Passport

Just to clarify that once the new passport is ready, the old passport will be cancelled. The schengen visa however remains valid. So my question is if the valid schengen visa on the expired passport by then is still honoured.

Re: Visa to visit to Iceland

Technically yes. But practically it may cause problems next time you wish to apply for a visa to visit Poland. On this forum, there is a story about a spouse who had trouble getting a third Belgian Schengen visa as a result of failing to visit Belgium on the previous visa issued by them (see http://...

Valid Visa on Expired Passport

Hello again! My passport is due to expire in a a year's time. Given the wait times for a new passport, I decided to renew it early. The new passport will arrive sometime in January. I also applied for a Schengen Visa with the French embassy and they gave me one with a six-month validity period. My q...

Incorrect Passport Number on Schengen Visa

Hello there! I got issued my schengen visa from the French consulate in London. I thought all was good, until I found out that they made a slight mistake with my passport number. It's weird considering that I wrote the correct passport number on my application form. How worried should I be? I notice...

Re: Schengen visa

Between Germany and the Czech Republic, where will you be spending a longer time in? I presume that this is a business trip across both countries. If so, you will apply in the country where you will spend a longer time in. I am not sure faxes can be accepted. You can ask your host to send it by spec...

Re: Schengen visa

First of all, where will the main purpose of your trip take place? You usually need to apply at the embassy of your main destination. That means where you will spend the longest time in if the purpose of your trip is the same all throughout (e.g. holiday). But if the main purpose of your trip is a b...

Re: TLSCONTACT London

On a slightly unrelated note, TLS says that to satisfy the "proof of accommodation" requirement, we need "A reservation confirmation issued directly by the hotel clearly stating". Does this mean that Expedia/Booking.com reservations alone do not satisfy this requirement?

Re: Travel Insurance for a journey to Paris from London

I have the related question too. My Natwest Current Account comes bundled with travel insurance. How can I request for a letter from the bank stating that I am the policyholder and how long it is valid for? So far the documents they gave me pertain to their general policies.

Re: Determining Main destination

Thanks for this. There might be one slight complication now that I have received my visa. Although I still prefer to continue with the existing plan, the problem is it was contingent on the train schedule departing Warsaw for Berlin. However, I am unable to book any trains for the target date (consi...

Corrections past submission

Hello again! Sorry for my continuous questions. I submitted my visa application yesterday at the Polish embassy. It just occurred to me that the departure date from Schengen might not match what is said in the flight ticket. The staff accepted my application nonetheless without. I was wondering how ...

Determining Main destination

Hello once again! As we know, if two or more countries are tied for where will plan to spend the longest time in, I understand we should apply at the country where we will first visit. However, although I am spending 3 nights in each of these countries, will I need to account for the expected depart...

Re: Multiple trips

When you say proof of future trips, must this include the 2nd return ticket or could it just be preliminary hotel reservations? Let's consider that this is the Danish embassy of London we are dealing with.

Re: Multiple trips

Hello again, I was just wondering which embassy do we apply at if we have 'split' trips, especially in the second scenario where we split 2 nights each between Denmark and France but have a German trip afterwards lasting for 3 nights? Also, what if we had a similar scenario for the first trip: 2 nig...

Multiple trips

Happy New Year everyone! I successfully completed a Schengen trip to Germany and the Netherlands. I am hoping to apply in the coming months, but this time I may wish to mount 2 separate trips: one to Denmark and France, and another to Poland and Germany. Which embassy should I apply with I decide to...

Re: French Schengen Visa Valid

The main thing that brought about that change was a decision to extend our stay in the UK (before travelling to the Schengen area) as someone joined our travelling party at the last minute and wanted to see the UK with us. As we bought a non-refundable/non-amenable Eurostar ticket that departs Franc...

Re: French Schengen Visa Valid

I do have the following: a) boarding card for my trip from the UK to Italy (in my mobile phone) b) Eurostar reservation (I don't know where the actual ticket is since it was a print out from my computer and I obviously can't access past tickets anymore) c) UK entry stamp in Paris d) credit card stat...

Re: French Schengen Visa Valid

Thanks so much for this advice. At least I don't need to worry about solely travelling to Germany and the Netherlands on a circular French schengen visa (or do I?), though I am planning to apply for a Danish Schengen visa as I intend to visit Denmark first then France - 3 days each in the spring so ...

Re: French Schengen Visa Valid

So suspicions will more likely occur if we used an airport usually not recognised to be a major hub/gateway? We entered through Rome Fiumicino on a French Schengen visa last time though we declared that during our last visa application (passport stamp was also unclear on that occasion).

Re: French Schengen Visa Valid

For the first visit, in case the exit stamp placed by the French schengen authorities is unclear/not inked properly (to prove that one indeed stayed in France), how worried should one be in the future? What if one has a UK entry stamp done in Paris? I also hear that poorly-inked stamps or not even s...
