Re: ILR qualifying period

You can apply 28 days before the anniversary of the 2 year completion period. If your spouse arrived in the UK on 7 August 2012, this would mean you can apply from 10 July 2014.

LIUK and English B1 required.

Re: Applying for ILR using PEO or Postal Application

You can use either the postal application or PEO appointment, the choice is yours.

With PEO, decision is usually given same day but comes at an additional price of £400.

I assume you have English Level B1 & LIUK as you don't make mention of this.

Re: Wife's spouse visa finishing

Can you not book the test any sooner or failing that, an alternative test such as ESOL Entry Level 3. You only need to satisfy the Speaking and Listening elements but with IELTS you do all four elements as that is how the exams are structured. Take something like ESOL where you only need to sit Spea...

Re: Set (M) Cohabitation Documents ??

The requirement is to show a minimum of 6 documents from at least 3 sources spread over 2 years. So one document in joint names (or one document in each name) for every 4 months from 3 sources. You do not need to submit documents for every month. Every quarterly will do fine from at least 3 differen...

Re: Extending a 2yr spouse visa

Thanks Amber_ & WR1 :) I would love to apply for ILR, unfortunately she has failed it already and i'm trying to bring her up to scratch. So to clarify, once I've applied for FLR(M) and later satisfied B1 and LITUK I can apply at any given time? knowing my luck they'll probably bring out a LitUK...

Re: showing original title deeds or copies

I very much doubt you even need to show title deeds at all. Have your parents write a letter confirming your residence in their house and welcoming your spouse when she arrives in the UK. Any details of any contributions to the residence should also be included. What you will need is some form of a ...

Re: Divorcee in process and getting married

You will need to wait until your divorce is finalised, i.e. be in possession of the decree absolute before you can re-marry again.

If you married before your divorce is final, then the spouse visa will most likely be refused.

Re: Extending a 2yr spouse visa

You should apply for FLR(M) before the current leave expires, leave should be granted under Part 8 of the immigration rules, for 2 years. Once B1 English and LIUK is satisfied s(he) can apply to settle. If she's got a few months yet, get the LIUK test done! This. If your partner had the visa grante...

Re: Esol

Check your certificate and see if there is an expiry date nor not.

Usually, ESOL doesn't have a expiry date.

Yes, you can use it for naturalisation as long as it meets level B1 of the CEFR. This would be for example ESOL Entry level 3 as a minimum requirement. Life in the UK also required.

Re: Pdf form filler software?

Manually filling the form using black pen in block capitals is always best practise. However, I have used Adobe Acrobat pro (paid version) which has the ability to fill in PDF forms and used this for the Spouse Visa form 2 years ago without an issue. Main reason being its easier to read than a hand ...
