Re: Life in UK and English language requirement

Life in the UK is valid indefinitely (no expiry date) so can be used again. However, rules changed on 28 October 2013 in which both Life in the UK and English B1 are required to meet the requirements for ILR and BC. Since you obtained your ILR prior to the rule change, you would need to satisfy the ...

Re: English Qualification - PBS Print out - For Naturalisati

You don’t need to prove your knowledge of English if you: 1. met this requirement, on or after 28th October 2013, in order to obtain settlement (ILR or PR), I was under the impression the above referred to those who used a English B1 test that was no longer on the current list but was used for ILR ...

Re: Date of application for Naturalisation.

At my NCS appointment last week, I was provided the Royal Mail tracking number. You should have been given one at the NCS as well. You can ring them up to confirm and get the tracking details. Applications are normally sent by special delivery so the Home Office would have received it the next day. ...

It is only for those who are using the current English test taken after 6 April 2015 as SELT unique numbe...

Re: English requirements for AN

I am glad to say that I will be eligible to apply for naturalisation after 30th June. Few questions that I have in my mind now after looking at AN form, that are: 1. Regarding English Requirements, I had taken Academic IELTS back in 2009 in the British council back home as part of my first Tier 1 G...

If you have a PHD (or even a degree) from a UK university, then NARIC is not required. The PHD on its own will be sufficient.

Re: Naturalization application late submitted - Royal Mail F

To the OP, as you stated, you realised about the fee increase late and as such things were left to the last minute and its unfortunate that Royal Mail couldn't deliver on time. You have no case with Home Office, the additional fee will have to be paid. Just been reading some of the Royal Mail T&...

Re: Naturalization application late submitted - Royal Mail F

Which service did you exactly use. Was it recorded delivery or special delivery. If the latter then you need to take the complaint up with Royal mail. You need to see their T&C and see if RM cover for consequencial loss.

I have seen on another forum that they are now dating the BRP from the date of expiry of current visa. Hopefully the OP will let us all know the date on his BRP when it arrives as it is important, as stated , to make sure applicants have five years residence when applying for ILR. This can not be t...

just a quick question though, your wife's visa expires on 29/04/2016 and you applied nearly 2 months in advance. do you have any idea when would the ID card start? would it be 13/02/2016 or 30/04/2016? how long before did you manage to book PSC appointment? My visa Expires on 12/06/2016 is it possi...

Hi guys, Sorry for defining the question properly. What I wanted to ask is: If you hold for example an MSc degree taught in the UK, there is no need to fulfil the language requirement of question 1.23 in the British Naturalization form issued in January 2016. Is that right? Thanks Having a UK degre...

Re: Can the certificate of naturalisation be folded?

This thread goes back to 2012 and reading through the posts it seems like care is not taken over important documents. It's a good thing that the home office has introduced the joint nationality and passport scheme which eliminates sending your nationality certificate as both are applied at the same ...

Re: A few questions regarding spouse visa extension FLR(M)

Its good to plan ahead, even though you are not applying until August 2017. What I would advise is to keep checking this forum and the gov websites as the rules do change quite often, and what is applicable today may not be in 2017 as for example the government is planning on increasing the required...

When you applied for Naturalisation in 2014 and having been granted British Citizenship, you should have applied for your wife's Naturalisation straight after or even in 2015. The English test could have been used then before 12 November 2015. Now the only choice is to do another one from the curren...

When you go to the PEO, you will take both the appointment confirmation and payment confirmation receipt.

Leave the payment page in the form blank. No need to provide an explanation as the case worker will already know.

EDIT: Mod beat me to it for the reply

If you book online, then you pay the full fee in advance online.

In this case, you can leave the payment page in the form blank. It is for postal applications.
