Re: Is taking a loan of £200000 as funds allowed?

Hi, Just a follow up about 90 days requirement, please. If I make the applicants (entrepreneur husband and wife team based in India) as directors to my UK registered company and they send the money to my UK business bank account, does the 90 days rule still apply to either party? I read about money ...

Is taking a loan of £200000 as funds allowed?

Hi,

Is it allowed that a spouse of Tier 1 Entrepreneur application takes a loan of £2,00,000 and keep it in the applicant's bank account until spent, acceptable as funds for the visa application? Applying from outside country.

Thank you.

Re: Entrepreneur dad aged nearly 70

Thanks both. I'll ring up HO but haven't seen an age limit. I'm struggling to understand the concept, no one would start only after they land. Anyone outside the country would probably start with a UK branch or subsidiary first and test the waters. Think it will be 1-2 years before he would be willi...

Entrepreneur dad aged nearly 70

Hi, My father has been running his business for the last 45 years and is nearly 70 years of age. He shows no sign of slowing down or retiring. His line of business is manufacturing but I decided not to join the family business and I moved to the UK (currently on ILR, waiting for citizenship). Howeve...

Re: Can i apply with non-UK passport expiring soon

My husband applied with an expired Indian passport. It expired around 5 months before the NCS appointment. It is not a requirement as he is naturalised now. We told NCS that we do not plan to renew the passport and surrender it as is. He had to supply payslips to prove his continuous residence.

References 6months old

Hi, I started filling my form back in 2015 but didn't submit as I had travel scheduled for this year. The references were filled in Dec 2015. Is it okay to use that now or shall I get the referees to sign a recently dated one? Friend referee will happily do it again. I will need to check with my sol...

Re: HMRC penalty after tax inquiry

Sorry to open the thread again, would it not come under a civil penalty? Or just having the books clear with HMRC is sufficient?

Re: HMRC penalty after tax inquiry

OK Thanks again. It felt like a big deal so I wasn't sure if I should disclose it or not. I will not mention it on the form. Thank you.

Re: HMRC penalty after tax inquiry

I have re-read your response. I was on Tier 1 Extension in 2013, got ILR in Nov 2014. We only found out about this when inquiry started in Jan 2015. It was unintentional and I was unaware of any wrong doing. I declared all incomes in the renewal application. It was a mistake in filling self assessme...

Re: HMRC penalty after tax inquiry

OK Thank you. I was on ILR when the inquiry started. I will declare it in summary on the form. I hope that is sufficient.

HMRC penalty after tax inquiry

Hi, I made a mistake in filling tax returns for the year 2012-2013 and didn't declare a new full time job on self assessment form as thought that was only for company related income. There was another minor goof up but I accepted the penalty for year 2012-2013 tax return and paid immediately. Will t...

How many years and month should I specify for the question asking - How long have you lived in the UK?
