Where do I have to be to apply for a UK spouse visa?

I am both British and Irish, with a Canadian wife. We live in Canada and want to move to Northern Ireland. If we move to the Republic of Ireland first, and I get a job in Northern Ireland (while we are still living in the Republic, I just commute across the border each day to go to work), can my wif...

Re: Adequate maintenance: Calculating after April 2014

How do they know what the accommodation expenses will be if you're applying from outside the uk? Do they base it on average costs in the region you intend to live? Example, if you have a job offer in Bristol, or in Edinburgh, but are applying from (and are still in) New Zealand, do they base the acc...

Re: Spouse Visa - UK job offer

Thanks Amber This still leaves the matter open for debate though: - does the job need to last the entire 2.5 initial years, at a minimum? - does the job have to be at least 1 year in duration, so the Brit earns that annual salary in full? - could the job be for one day, provided the Brit got paid $1...

Spouse Visa - UK job offer

UK citizen with non EEA spouse - financial requirement can be met with job offer that starts no later than 3 months from date of application.

Anyone know if the job offer has to be permanent full time, or can it be temporary full time (eg) a 1 year contract job?

Thanks

Unfortunately no, since I am also a British citizen they won't accept me as an Irish citizen.

Ireland Route to Satisfy UK Spouse Financial Requirement

Hello I'm both a UK and an Irish citizen, married to a Canadian. How about myself and my wife moving to Ireland under their spouse visa rules, but I get a job in Northern Ireland, crossing the border each day to go to work and come home. By doing this for six months I could establish a six month his...
