British Passport Application-Expired Non British Passport

Hello all I want to start the process of British Passport application online. However I just realised that my original non-British passport that I am supposed to send with the application has been expired two months ago. Would it be acceptable for HMPO to accept this expired (but uncancelled) origin...

Re: URGENT-Suspicious phone call from Croydon PEO

I am just curious after reading those links in the posts above. How do they know you have a pending application with UKBA? How do they know your name, mobile number and other details? Doesn't it look an inside job? I have seriously started to doubt now about UKBA that whenever they say our details ...

Re: UKBA raided property where Long residence ILR holder liv

Out of curiosity, does that mean UKBA can come and raid my house too at any time of the day or night regardless of the fact that whether or not I solely own the house and only my close family member are occupants along with me, just because they got a tip off from some "so reliable" source...

Wait till you get ILR for yourself and then you can apply to Naturalise your 2nd daughter as British Citizen. No need to apply her ILR even if she has a foreign passport.

Re: Child Passport Application

You are only British once you attend the ceremony not from date of approval letter. However, as you must have had ILR when the baby was born, the baby is automatically British as you were 'settled'. Am I correct in understanding that the baby is not automatically British but they have to be registe...

Re: Maintenance Funds Form SET (O) filling query

For ILR, there is not any requirement for showing that you have x amount of funds available to you. But you are still required to show/prove that you/your dependants are able to sustain a living in the UK. Show/prove your sources for income and your current residential arrangements. Therefore whenev...

Re: Lost my BRP card

This might not be any helpful answer. But the card wont just suddenly disappear itself. For example if it was there a few days ago and you haven't lost your purse/wallet recently or moved homes etc then there is a high chance that you would find the card if you search a bit harder. Panic/stress of t...

Re: Travel after child MN1 application

Your child can travel outside of UK even if their MN1 application is pending.

BUT it is not advisable unless you can prove at all the borders that your child is entitled visa free entry into the UK. I am sure there will be a lot of questions asked without a UK visa or passport.

I presume you would be applying on SET(O). See the eligibility criteria for settling in UK.

However, you may choose to show your bank statements for the purpose of evidence of earnings.

Re: can i apply for ILR?

The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK may be counted towards the qualifying period, as long as it does not exceed 90 days. You entered UK within 90 days of your entry clearance and therefore you may count the continuous residency starting from 11 July 2006...
