You don't need covering letter for ILR application.

Yes, My appointment was on 9th March. Didn't get the same day decision due to industrial action. Received call from HO on Friday afternoon that ILR has been granted and passports will be sent by post.

Members of HSMP Forum are still getting backdated ILR by post. Aren't these the group of people who saw their (4 yr.) Backdated ILR

I booked an appointment for myself to apply for ILR under HSMP JR. I completed 4 years in July 2009. As I am over due, Can I apply for backdated ILR so that I can naturalize in August this year? Do they issue backdated ILR or letter themselves or I have to ask? Any similar experiences? please help....

i think they do that anyway and you can apply for citexenship when you qualify for 5 years total residency - not 1 year from the date of ILR Thanks for your reply. British citizenship requirement for HSMP is that you must qualify 5 years residency including 1 year on ILR. Thats why I nedd back date...

I am in similar situation. I am applying for ILR under HSMP JR in February. I got married in July 2008. My wife's HSMP dependent visa got refused at first in September 2008. We waited for appeal till May 2009 then applied fresh in May 2009. Her visa was approved and she joined me in UK in July 2009....
