discretion over 12 months indefinit leave stay

Hello, One of the requirement to apply for British citizenship by naturalisation is" had indefinite leave to stay in the UK for the last 12 months" Questions: 1 - May discretion be exercised over this requirement? E.g. being stateless, work requires travel, etc? 2- What is the earliest dat...

Re: A quick advice on PEO applications

I was sitting opposite to the caseworker and observing her every move One more question :) I thought now they have changed the process and case workers work in the background and you only interact with them if they need to ask you any questions? Yes, they take the documents and ask you to wait; how...

Re: A quick advice on PEO applications

Congratulations for your ILR. So you are telling even though you have specified the dates in the form of table IN and Out and reason of absence, caseworker is not bothered to look into it and also he din't ask for any evidence? If you are within 180 days of absence do we need to provide any evidenc...

Re: A quick advice on PEO applications

Thanks but why do you say this? Unlike what I read in a post in this precious board, application forms have to be filled by hand, i.e., not using a Pdf editor. Some users have suggested to use tools such as xchange pdf to complete the application form on the computer, then print it out. In the book...

A quick advice on PEO applications

I had my ILR granted on the 11th of July in Liverpool PEO and I have the following notes: - Unlike what I read in a post in this precious board, application forms have to be filled by hand, i.e., not using a Pdf editor. - Everyone gave the advice of keeping the file simple, this is a great advice, B...

Evidence letter for 5 years’ ‘continuous reside

Dear all, I'm applying for the ILR after spending 5 years as Tier 1 (General) in the UK. I'm confused with the guidance and I need some help. In total, during he 5 years period on Tier 1 visa I was abroad for 72 days for several reasons, such as holiday, family visit, etc. Yet, I was continuously em...

Supporting documents covering what period

Hello, I'm applying for my ILR as I have been on Tier 1 (General) visa for 5 years. They ask for many supporting documents, e.g. bank statements, payslips, etc. My questions is: how many of these should I provide? Is it for the full 5 years? or the last month? or the last 12 months? My second questi...

Re: The earliest day I can apply for ILR - [premium service]

Many thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. I converted from a student visa to Tier 1 General on the 5th of August 2009. So practically, I will complete the 5 years on the 5th of August 2014. To be on the safe side I will book and appointment 3 weeks before the 5th August.

The earliest day I can apply for ILR - [premium service]

Hello, I know this is in the FAQ section, but I need further clarification regarding the same day service or the premium service. When you say I can apply 28 days early, does that include the premium service? In other words, can I go to the premium service center 28 days early and get my ILR? Many t...

Child borne in the UK for stateless parents on Tier 1 (Gener

Hi guys, This is my first time here, so please excuse me if I break any of your protocols. I'm a Tier 1(General) migrant who holds a UKBA travel document for stateless persons. So I have an official recognition from the Home Office that I'm stateless. I'm applying for the Indefinite Leave to Remain ...
