EEA2 application

Hi, I am a non EEA national and my bf is an EEA national who is exercising treaty right in the UK. We are not married yet but have been cohabited for nearly two months after knowing each for over six months. Would this qualify me to apply for a residence card by submitting a EEA 2 application form? ...

Certificate of Application (COA) for an EEA4 application

Does the COA entitle me to be self employed? or it only allows me to accept employment? I might move house. I used to see a form on the website of the UKBA which I could fill in my new address, but could not find it anymore. It seemed to me that the UKBA has edited their website. Where can I get thi...

Re: Certificate of application (COA)

Many thanks, dalebutt .

The acknowledgement letter I received is different from COA, right? COA shall state that I am entitled to work pending a decision is made on my application?

Re: Certificate of application (COA)

Nearly 4 weeks. I only received a letter about the payment. It says if there is a problem with the payment, my application would be considered as invalid and would be returned to me. The payment has been deducted from my account, therefore my application is valid. The letter says I shall not contact...

Certificate of application (COA)

Hi all,
I submitted an EEA application a while ago, but have not received a COA. What can I do? Is there any number I can contact to request it to be sent to me asap?

Many thanks

Re: application deadline

Thank you, Seneca. I will ensure the application to reach the UKBA on the 26th days. I shall be safe in this way? I just can not submit it now as I need to seek for legal advices in terms of the appropriate application to submit, i,e, an EEA application or article 8 application. It is strange on the...

Re: retained right of residence as a divorcee from the EEA s

How soon shall I make a new application? Is there any deadline to submit it at all? If so, how soon? Preciously speaking, I do not have any visa status now. Am I entitled to stay for 28 days at most since the date I received the UKBA letter asking me to submit a new application? On the letter it doe...

application deadline

Hi All, My previous eea4 application was rejected. I received a UKBA letter which stated that I can submit a new application with new evidence if there is any. However, it does not state the deadline to make such an application. Is there any deadline to submit it at all? If so, how soon? Preciously ...

Re: retained right of residence as a divorcee from the EEA s

My solicitor could not answer my questions, that is why I am here to search for advices. My solicitor said that I would need to be here for at least 10 years to apply for article 8 private life (10-year) route. He also said that for the domestic violence claim my former spouse needed to be working i...

Re: retained right of residence as a divorcee from the EEA s

Thank you, Imshzd. I have checked the application form FLR(FP) and was wondering: 1. "Requirements for a grant of leave on the basis of private life: is aged 18 years or above, has lived continuously in the UK for less than 20 years (discounting any period of imprisonment) but has no ties (incl...

Re: retained right of residence as a divorcee from the EEA s

Hi Imshzd, Apologies I did not finish typing the 1st sentence of my last post, that is why it has caused confusions. I meant saying "It sounded to me my former spouse was working in the UK on the date of divorce" is not a pre-condition for the domestic violence claim, I,e, if I had enough ...

Re: retained right of residence as a divorcee from the EEA s

Thanks to both for your replies. To Imshzd: It sounds to me for domestic violence claim my former EEA spouse does not have to be in the UK. However, I must be able to supply the evidence required to prove I had suffered from domestic violence, otherwise it is likely to fail. The UKBA was requested t...

Thanks for your replies. I have checked the application form FLR(FP) and was wondering: 1. What you have quoted "Requirements for a grant of leave on the basis of private life: is aged 18 years or above, has lived continuously in the UK for less than 20 years (discounting any period of imprison...

Re: retained right of residence as a divorcee from the EEA s

Thanks to both of you for replying to my post. 1. To askmeplz82: Rejection reason: I did not have any evidence proving my former EEA spouse was working in the UK when divorce was finalised I do not know where he is now. Nor do I have any contact with him anymore. If I knew where he is or had any con...

remain in the UK on priavte life basis

Hi all, I heard there is a new rule under article 8, i.e, people can apply to remain in the UK on the basis of private life (10-year route). Does the applicant need to be in the UK for at least for ten years to qualify to apply for it? I have only been here for about 8 years, the majority time of wh...

retained right of residency as a divorcee from the EEA spous

Hi All, I applied to retain my right of residency as a divorcee from my EEA spouse, however, the application was rejected. I applied it again, but it was unfortunately rejected. We then requested the UKBA to reconsider the decision given I have ongoing medical treatments, but was suggested to supply...
