Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

So if the mother gets the PR card and wait 12 months then they can apply for their child's registration. So when the child will get the passport? You can apply for child's MN1 immediately after the mother gets ILR, you dont have to wait for 12 months or anything. After MN1 approval you can apply fo...

Re: Citizenship ceremony at different council to the NCS ?

However I have now been informed that if you submit your application through a particular NCS then you would also need to attend your citizenship ceremony at the same council. This information was provided by the Croydon council. Surprising because I applied using Croydon NCS last year and the love...

Yes. Signatures are valid for up to 6 months only.
I would keep it within 1 month to avoid any complications.

Re: Fee increase April 2015 and Naturalisation application

I am afraid you will have to pay the new fees because HO will not receive it before monday. Also, even though NCS send the documents using special delivery, it is not guaranteed to get there next working day because NCS may not post it on the same day they received it - uderstandably they get the po...

Re: MN1 section 3(1) application refused

I have a similar risky situation. I have got my BC recently and my wife has ILR . My daughter who is 2 years old and who is living in the UK for the last 8 months is on Dependent of Settled person visa running out after mid-2016. My question is if I apply for her naturalization now, is there a chan...

Re: Naturalisation fee for family with 2 children under 18

The simple solution would be to download the fees leaflet and use basic maths and english literacy.

My son has NICOP which was made just after his birth and apparently it is valid for 18 years. How did you manage to get a NICOP which is valid for 18 years? The validity was reduced to 7 years from 10 about 4 years ago. I don't know, I mean I did not do anything special. I applied in 2010 a little ...

It has to be booked within 21 days but can be anytime. You can delay, if you want Sorry , so Ceremony date has to be in next 21 days OR booking has to be done in 21 days for any date for ceremony ?(even date falling outside of 21 days) ? I don't think that's entirely accurate. The ceremony has to t...

Re: British passport to book tickets but travel on Pak passp

Your son does not actually need a Pakistani passport to travel if he's got nicop which they normally make before issuing passports. Nicop is valid for 10 years usually as far as I'm aware and is more than enough to prove that he's a Pakistani citizen and doesn't require a visa to travel to Pakistan...

Sounds pretty much standard to me. Your expectaion of 8-10 days is unrealistic. The only other option would be to have a private ceremony which you can have the very next day provided a slot is available.

British passport to book tickets but travel on Pak passport?

I am in a bit of a mess. Immigration office might ask you all sorts of stupid questions too. Passport applications are quite quick, 5 weeks should be enough ...
