Re: Travelling on British Registration Certificate

Some people have reported that this is doable although I would never suggest it to anyone. IMO apply for British Passport or RoA before you travel.

Re: Applicants who received further 3 - 6 months letter

Contact the campaign people asking for donations and tell them that you did not hear back from MP and thus will consider not voting for him this time if this is not resolved soon - cc the MP too :) It might work or not but worth a try. Tempting :) I did take some, if not all, of your advice and fin...

Re: Indicative Visa fees for 2015/16

Can we bring HomeOffice to court if they proceed with this fees amendments? What can be ground for it is the following document that they published in November 2013 justifying increase for other visa categories. Document is here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/...

..............

Hardly. Will you not apply for ILR if the fees increase goes through? They know what its worth, it is just a matter of justifying the increase which I believe they will on paper.

Short answer is ... nobody here know what checks are performed, if any checks are performed at all and why some applications take longer than others.

Re: Applicants who received further 3 - 6 months letter

I applied for my citizenship end of May 2014, Up to now I have not heard anything from the HO or is it the UKBA. I have written two letters, made several phone calls and no update yet. Apparently my case is still in progress. Fact- the HO is in shambles, how can they justify deducting money and not...

Living 12-16 months outside is fine, the real question here is why would you not put her address same as yours? Even if she is not in the country she can be use your address as her address. Re: filling Passport application countersign before citizens

I dont think there is a problem if the countersignatory puts a date before naturalisation because he is dating it for the declration he is making which will still be valid before your BC ..... however I would strongly recommend to ask them to date it after naturalization to avoid unnecessary complic...

Re: British Citizenship - Referees - define related

You are worrying over nothing. As long as there is no blood ties or legal relationship they will be fine. My two referees were my boss from my previous company and my friend who used to work with me in the same team - of course they both know each other very well ....... Your referees are fine.

Re: Renouncing the British Citizen, but want to stay in UK

Interesting topic.

FYI - There is no such thing as OPC. Pakistan allows dual citizenship and thus cards are issued to overseas pakistani citizens but they are called National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). Having NICOP is the equivalent having a RoA in the UK.

Hi I will advice u to disclose everything that need to do with police/arrest because if HO find out on ur record they can use that against u, as you known there is no right of appeal so "prevention is better than cure" is better to declear it so that u can be on a safer side. That is my l...

Re: arrest and a warning and naturalisation, Please help

Hi there I have received a PNC report and it only has one record and it says that I was arrested in 2011 for common assault but NFA'd, so no criminal convictions, no warnings or no cautions at all. Just an arrest and No Further Action. Does it need to be disclosed? No there is no need to disclose it.

Technically speaking she is an overstayer but she is also "entitled" to be registered as a British Citizen under section 1(3) therefore being an overstayer will not come into question and should not create a problem.
