Re: US Citizen No Stamp on Entry during Layover

It depends on how long you intend on staying in the UK and if you want to visit the UK in the future. If your stay is only a few days, I wouldn't bother too much about it as you won't go through immigration on your way back. If you are staying for a long time, then I suggest you either visit UK Immi...

Re: What Happens After Naturalization?

I find that quite a silly question and insulting to those eagerly awaiting decisions on their citizenship applications, even though I have been granted. Why did you apply for it in the first place if you don't know what benefits it brought you? People from all over the world apply for Irish citizens...

Re: Urgent help regarding naturalisation!

I think because you got 2 speeding fines in quick succession the minister of justice decided to postpone granting you citizenship for 12 months so as to ensure you are a person that willfully and continuously breaks the law. I suggest you stay out of trouble in the next 12 months, avoiding speeding,...

Re: Citizenship Timeline Tracker 2013

Remember that we are now seeing processing times of as little as 3 months. That to me shows the backlog has been cleared and there will become less and less people during citizenship ceremonies as the processing times get shorter. I got my approval on April 23, exactly 6 months and 1 day after my ap...

You simply go with her citizenship approval letter to INIS to have her visa extended.

Re: should I apply for naturalisation or not yet

Claiming jobseekers is your right if you can't find employment. The previous government used to penalise applicants for claiming, but that is also understandable as it was the boom years and there were plenty jobs then. I know plenty people on jobseekers that have applied on jobseekers and have been...

Re: EU citizen travel to EU (frm Ireland) without passport

I don't know why you're stressing so much...your Indian passport and Schengen visa are still very much active. You can still travel where you like except India. Ireland nor Germany have any problems with dual nationality and have no jurisdiction to stop you from using your Indian passport.

Re: Advantages of Citizenship

You don't necessarily need to get Irish citizenship to avail of all those benefits. As the spouse of an EU national you're still entitled to unemployment benefit. If you also apply for Residence card you will have easy travel in the EU.

Re: need help plz to fill out Application for citizenship

Your residency shouldn't matter whether its considered from 2007 or 2008, as even the latter now adds up to more than the required 5 years. However I would put down 2007, and if that is not in your passport, I would include copy of the letter from INIS in my application. The traffic light offence sh...

Re: I'm holding Stamp 4EUfam,Do I need UK visa?

Depends on what your "mistake" on your tier 5 application paperwork was. It may be deemed as being deceptive. You can eventually apply for an EEA family permit under Zambrano route after several months residency in Ireland. Best apply for a visitor visa, I doubt you would be denied one.

Re: I'm holding Stamp 4EUfam,Do I need UK visa?

As a New Zealand citizen, you do not need a visa to travel to the UK. You can travel to the UK and visa will be issued to you at the border, however, you're highly unlikely to encounter UK immigration officials when you travel from Ireland. If you really need your passport stamped you will have to s...

Wow!!! that's the fastest processing time I've ever seen for Irish citizenship. What a lucky person you are, good for you. That should be the standard for everyone really. I applied 21 October 2013, received 2nd stage 13 February 2014, still waiting for approval.

Not true, no way would he be deported. Once he is stopped by immigration they may give him a bit of a hassle but they would have no choice but to issue him with a visa. EU rules are clear, spouses of EU nationals have free movement rights within the EU. The UK Border Agency tries by all means to dis...

Re: I'm holding Stamp 4EUfam,Do I need UK visa?

The UK Border Agency website says you do, though they do this against EU rules. The truth is even if they did check passports on arrival, you would still be issued a visa. The danger however is you may be denied boarding without visa as airlines are scared of fines and are not always knowledgeable o...

I'm afraid that is not true....you are entitled to apply NOW!!! You do not have to be married to an Irish national for 3 years before you apply on the basis of being the Spouse of an Irish national. You simply have to have 3 years reckonable residence at the time of application except for stamps suc...

Don't worry about proof of date of arrival, they don't require as they have it on their system, and copies of a child's residency stamps are not requested for naturalisation purposes. What they do request as proof that the child has been resident in Ireland is either school letters for a child of sc...

Since your RC has been issued and no sign of your passport, I would suggest you contact your embassy in London to check if they possibly do have it there. Re: Any EU spouse travelled to UK from Ireland wthout Visa??

I know that the UK Border Agency insist spouses of EU nationals that are visa nationals to apply for permits, this though is against EU law. I simply want to find out if anyone that has travelled without a visa with their EU spouse has been returned at the border. I plan to test them in the near fut...
