Re: ILR Long residence Appeal

What abt if u re-apply for ILR in Oct 2016.....surely your number of days outside UK will drop !! How many days actually u were away from UK over the last 10 yr ? I was out for 553 days. I said that to the home office. They say 551 in the refusal letter. My compelling circumstance was grandfather's...

ILR Long residence Appeal

Hi guys, I would really appreciate your advice. My ILR (10 year long residence) was refused on grounds that I spent more than 540 days outside the UK (although I had compassionate circumstances). My leave to remain expires in October 2016. I HAVE been given the right to appeal this decision. This fa...

Re: ILR 10 Years PEO Application Friday

You can try, no one can say for certain what the outcome will be. It's Up to you Frankly ! But When there is complex past history it better to apply by post. Let Say if case worker is not able to make a decision, she/he will pass your case to senior case worker, where your case will be dealt like a...

Re: ILR 10 Years PEO Application Friday

Normally ''''You must: 1) cancel at least 5 working days before your appointment for a full refund 2) reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment'''''''' But you can still decide to miss the appointment, It is only £100 Loss, But U Have a Option to cancel, Sort Of. ''''You won’t get the £1...

Re: ILR 10 Years PEO Application Friday

You should not apply in person if your case is not straightforward. If they are not able to make a decision on the day, you will join the postal pile at premium fee. Wait for others to comment. I don't think there is much discretion regarding absences above 540 days though. Thank you for your reply...

long residence 10 years

Once an applicant has built up a period of 10 years continuous lawful residence, there is no limit on the length of time afterwards when they can apply. This means they could leave the UK, re-enter and apply for settlement based on a 10 year period of continuous lawful residence they built up in the...

Re: ILR long residence. Leaving UK then applying.

Was there any compassionate reason for the excess absences? Im not sure what counts as compassionate. i came here at a young age (10) and my parent continued to work in south korea to support my education. I went back reguarlarly during the summer and christmas holidays to see my parents. Also, one...

Re: 10 year indefinite leave to remain application. student.

I recommend you apply now. Then you can have peace of mind on your Erasmus program. They take between 3 to 6 months now to process the ILR on long residence route. Have a look at 10 years long residence thread. Yes i think that would be ideal. But I am not sure if I would be able to get it before s...
