Re: Tier 2 General - Application date for ILR

Hi Manci, We applied together (Me being the main applicant - T2 ICT) and her as a dependent in March 2010. So From 2010 - March 2014 she was in the UK. She left for delivery of our child in April 2014 and returned in Feb 2015. Her bank statements and Salary slips during the above period are availabl...

Re: Tier 2 General - Application date for ILR

Hi Community members: I am now ready to apply for the ILR with most supporting documents in hand. I have a couple of questions and hope I can get some guidance on that. My wife (currently T2G dependent) applied for the visa same time as me (Application date 31 March, 2010). However, she travelled ba...

Re: Need to apply for dependent VISA for wife and daughter

Hi, I recently applied for and received my wife and 5 month old son's visas. Posting here so it may be useful to someone in the similar situation. Re: Dependent/partner visa application from India– my experi

Hi All, I am in process of applying for my wife and child (3 months old). I have prepared both their applications (each for wife and child) under "apply for someone else" in visa4uk. I have mentioned both their names under (are you travelling with anyone?) and my child's name under "d...

Re: Tier 2 General dependent application question

Hi Manci,

Thank you for responding. I also reached out to UKVI via email and they said that I can just mention that I don't currently have details in the notes section and they will look it up their systems if required.

Many thanks for the help once again. This community is great.

Re: Tier 2 General dependent application question

Hi Vinny,

Thank you for the response, I don't see the HO reference number scribbled anywhere but I see the BRP number scribbled on many pages at arrival stamp.

So is a SAR only option? How long does it typically take for a SAR request? Would calling UKBA help in this respect?

Thanks,
N.

Re: Tier 2 General dependent application question

Hi Manci, Thank you for responding. Yes, her leave to remain expired just after she left (In May 2014). I am reading the guidance and it says the Home Office Reference number would be prefixed with the first letter of your family name, for example Smith = S12345. I have letters from Home office invi...

Hi All, My wife who was in the UK as Tier 2 (ICT) dependent went back to India to deliver our first child in 2014. In between, I switched jobs and switched over to T2G. Re: Switching to Tier 2 (General) - Qualifying period

Hi Mancy,

Thank you for the reply. Just one more question. It turns out my application falls under the rules in place before 6 Apr, 2010 and I can switch. If I convert to Tier 2 General, will my time spent as T2 ICT be counted towards 5 years total stay for ILR?

Re: Switching to Tier 2 (General) - Qualifying period

Hi Manci, Thank you for the response. I applied before 6th April 2010 (I believe I submitted the application around 30th March) - is there a way to find this out? I need to decide whether to take the job up (and switch to Tier 2 General) based on whether I shall be qualified for ILR in 2015. Also, i...

Switching to Tier 2 (General) - Qualifying period

Hi All, I am currently in UK on Tier 2 ICT. I entered UK on 21 May 2010, however, I believe my VISA was stamped under rules in place before 6 April 2010 as my entry clearance states "VISA TIER 2(INT COM TRAN) MIGRANT (COS #)" - COS date is 22 March 2010 and VISA start date is 8 April, 2010...

Hi Manci, Thank you so much for taking time to reply to my queries. Based on your reply in another thread, I have just one more query. My COS start date is 22 March 2010. I am sure my employer paid the visa fees around 1st or 2nd April 2010. My VISA page mentions below: "VISA TIER 2(INT COM TRA...

Tier 2 ICT -> ILR or Tier 2 General the only option?

Hello members, I traveled to UK on T2 ICT on 21 May 2010 and have been here ever since. My VISA start date was 8th April 2010. From what I understand from the rules, I cannot extend my stay beyond 5 years on current rules in place. My question is: 1) Am I eligible for ILR under the present rules? (F...
