If you were convicted at Court (or plead guilty to the magistrates by post) then you have a conviction which must be declared.

It is allowed as per my understanding but you require letter on your own name,solicitors verification letter and third party letter and also third party's bank (statement as a proof .additonal not required)

You can request a PNC SAR to see if it's recorded. Even for post you'd be better applying October 2014 if it's recorded on your criminal record.
