No, but both the children and parents need to be legally resident in the UK.

Effectively, even if they don't have ILR, they will all need to meet the requirements for ILR Long Residence.

Same thing happened to my wife, but after few days she received this email and txt from HMPO “We've received your documents. If we need more information we'll contact you.”
But in Royal Mail website : Your Item was received by Home Counties North DO on 05-09-2023 and is now due for delivery today.

I think the risks of a refusal is high due to failures of their expectations . I don’t think a further six months delay would make a difference in this case. However, if child completes 10 years lawful continuous residence then child may also apply for ILR under Long residence . The chances of succ...
