Is Self assessment statement of accounts mandatory?

I am director of a limited company, for naturalisation application, I am providing with PAYE tax office reference. Is Self assessment statement of accounts mandatory?
Can SA return and a print of 'Tax year overview' page from HMRC website suffice? Please advise

@ noajthan : I would want to see solicitor for advise as sections and criteria's on guide are quite complicated/confusing.

Somewhere on GOV.uk I came across a PDF document listing cohabitation documents requirement and the guidelines. I want to apply for my spouse visa so need to get those in place. Thanks for reply
