Hi,
It would be highly unlikely for the dependents of a Tier 1 visa to get a tourist visa. It would be misconstrued that u are trying to circumvent the maintenance funds criteria. To wait until ur maintenance funds are in order and then apply for dependent visas would be the safest bet.

Hi,
I believe u may be able to continue to stay in the U.K until the current validity of ur visa. If ur visa has expired u have no other option but return to ur country of origin and apply for the relevant visa.

Hi, Yes u can apply from the U.S provided you have a legal visa status to be in the U.S and have been so for a minimum period of at least 6 months. The self assessment point calculator would determine if ur degree/ university is listed in their database and if so, u dont need a letter from U.K NARIC...

Hi Arijitraja /tvn_ramesh,
If from outside the U.K, the maintenance funds should be calculated on the consular rate which differs from Oanda. The current consular rate at Indian consulates is Rs 80 to the pound.

Hi,
It would be wonderful if u can show a confirmed job offer although it is not mandatory. Keep in mind that u have just 8 months before ur extension comes up and ur 12 months previous earnings will come into play.
Your complete medical records should explain the reasons for ur long stay.
