Re: British passport holder-still being bugged by border off

Because I design these systems for a living. That is interesting. Then you would know more about them than most people on these forums. I presume that you design more than just the hardware. I would be very interested in your thoughts on how secure they are as regards the security of the data that ...

Re: British passport holder-still being bugged by border off

Whatever makes you think that epassport gates do not treat you like that? Because I design these systems for a living. The officers have the same exact biometric readers as the biometrics gates. They see the exact same details the automatic systems see and the same checks are done. The only extra w...

Re: British passport holder-still being bugged by border off

What I don't understand is that if it's a requirement by law, how come the automatic gates don't get to ask these questions and treat you like this? I would 100% refuse to be x-rayed, give me a little dosage of radiation to make what point exactly? Maybe just because many have accepted this is the r...

British passport holder-still being bugged by border officer

Hi, I wanted to know more about your experience with British border officers after obtaining British passport. I personally prefer automatic gates as the computer doesn't ask me stupid questions about where I've been, why I've been there and how long etc and rotating my passport in all direction to ...

Re: Should mention Previous address!!!!

I guess the question you're asking is this:

Should I be honest and risk being found out that I've been dishonest or should I be dishonest and risk being found out that I've been dishonest twice.

I'd be honest.

Re: Need for English test or Naric ?

I had a degree in English, rather than dealing with NARIC, I just booked a B1 test and did it. The entire process took about 15 mins and £80.

Also remember than given they find out you've been dishonest, you will (rightly) be banned from applying for 10 years.

Re: Refused British Citizenship due to being in the UK Illeg

Unfortunately, these changes will prevent almost all refugees from qualifying for British citizenship for at least 10 years from their date of entry, as opposed to six years at present. This is arguably contrary to Article 31 of the Refugee Convention and certainly contrary to Article 34. So you wi...

Re: Exercising treaty rights as EEA national without PR

Getting BC with PR is easier because getting the PR itself is difficult. My wife got rejected once, and only received hers after we hired some expensive lawyers. The comprehensive medical insurance is indeed a requirement which is obviously just there as "gotcha" for unsuspecting applicant...

Re: CAN I APPLY FOR NEUTRALIZATION??‏

was the SP30 given in court? If yes, you have to wait 5 years from the date. if not, then you can apply to be naturalised. You have to mention these points in the application form, otherwise they'll love you for giving them the excuse to ban you from re-applying for 10 years. I got these point by p...

Use check & send. It about £9 I believe and someone checks your form and photo to make sure it fits the requirement, hopefully saving you some hassle.

Re: UKM applicants for BC--what is "too long" a wait from UK

You should ask for your passport back, it won't affect the outcome. https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outreach/Return_of_Documents.ofml Make sure you select NO in "Do you want to withdraw the application?" I say you should because doing so might just shake up your application a bit and get ...

Re: EU national, divorce and naturalization

1. If you have an ILR, the divorce won't affect your application because you won't be applying as a spouse of a British citizen but rather a 10 year long residency + 1 ILR 2. Yes 3. Yes 4. What proof was used in ILR? They'll ask for your addresses etc. I'm not entirely sure if they ask for devoiced ...
