While switching from Tier 4 DES to Tier 2, does the employer need to do the resident labour market test?

Hi I have a question:

While switching from tier 4 (DES) to Tier 2, does the employer need to do the resident market labour test?

I have recently submitted tier 4 extension and about to receive letter for biometric. Since in new online system an ack letter is not sent to student but my employer is demanding proof from home office.

Please suggest what to do.
