The changes to the application fees is effective 5 April 2014. It will only affect those that apply after that date.

if they are spent there is no harm in disclosing them because failure to disclose would be seen as deception by overworked UKBA Caseworkers. As far as i know they r accepted and one of my friend got his ILR granted ..all he did was send an émail to homeoffice and when he got the reply that he doesnt need to prove his english twice..he attached it with his application and it was granted

From personal experience I would advise anyone to prepare well,read the book then do practise questions to avoid paying the £50 twice :D
