This happened to me and I FEEL your pain, believe me. My undergrad was in anthropology and my masters was in economics, but I had a minor in econ in the first instance so it wasnt like I was completely devoid of knowledge on the subject. They will not listen to an appeal- consider this a flat out no...

Its 90 days for all of the EU, NOT each country. As for strictness, it depends on the country and if they really check your passport when you exit. It is possible to get an extension of the 90 days, though I am not sure how that would work with you given the country you are in. I am in Sweden and wi...

I went for a review after a foolish rejection last year and it took a little over a week. The initial decision took close to 14 weeks though. Never did get the HSMP, despite their failure to follow their own guidelines and requirements. I was quite forceful as well and pointed out the policy failing...

Man, this is pretty nasty. You would be ok for #6- printouts are fine, but you are right to be cautious about the application. Ive seen plenty of instances on these boards where someone has been incorrectly rejected for some foolish reason, usually because the HSMP workers could not/would not/refuse...

When they installed computers at Croyden it was a long, painful process that resulted in many, many lost applications , was overbudget and didnt work, and turned into a mess. Dont expect the UK government to do anything like this anytime soon. Frankly there isnt any need for it either. If they put t...

Hey- I was wondering what was going to happen to your app. Hooray for rejection of the intelligent! Lord... I figured they would do that to you- for some reason if anyone does ANYTHING in higher academia these ppl cant get past it and reject you. Put something in the letter, BOLDED, as to how much t...

So they are FINALLY going to give points to people who have previous work and earning experience in the UK huh? Bout time!! I love how I get the points under this new system, but was rejected under the old one for massive caseworker stupidity. THAT is good news!

Was it full time work? You can only get points if it was full time work. Most TA/GA postions are under the assumption that you are going to school as well, even if they do work you like a dog. The letter looks fine ( I had an advisor write something similar though it was not as a TA//GA) and I see t...

To apply for financial aid in the US you have to normally have a social security number and be either a citizen or possess a green card. This is for federal aid- they want you to pay it back, so they want to find you again.

short answer? no.

EC is Entry Clearance. I believe that is where you take the HMSp letter and documents and mail/take them to an embassy and they paste in the appropriate stamps and all. As for speed- I have no idea how much faster a WP would be. The benefit for an HSMP would be that you could switch jobs. The downsi...

To prove work experience- you need letters from your employers. Check the caseworkers guidance for gu...

Quantum- Sweden is quite difficult, not only in terms of citizenship, but the job market there is really bad right now. Also, Sweden is a very tightnit society- many Swedes get jobs due to long-term personal contacts and the like (as in, we-went-to-primary-school-together), and you may be passed ove...

well see how that new immigration policy goes- should be interesting to see who they let in and who they dont from now on. Then again, we should see if they can get it done by 2006- the UK govt machinations arent exactly the fastest!

jimmy- you have to pay NARIC to check their database for you and issue a recommendation. Where is your masters from? And is it in the same subject as your bachelors?
