the appeal process is long between 4-6 months and sometimes longer. I know quite a number of applicants have their decision overturned by appealing but it all depends on the presentation of the appeal. so you appeal and keep ur fingers crossed and continue llife till a decision is reached on the app...

I dont think you should go for the 10year ruling.... thats just a concession ... you never know and taking a student visa now ..to me isnt worth it cos a student visa dosent count towards your ILR on the 4yr route. The question is do you have to take full time study...why not part time. I guess you ...

well winter is harsher... but in winter yu have heaters while in harmattan u have both heat, dust and harsh weather... to me its always uncomfortable..cos there are no remedies. but at least with winter there are winter cloths and almost everywhere you get to is heated except the open street this is...

chess yeah they do grant EC ..if they dont at all people would have stopped applying long time ago...but like you said its almost a bit of lottery. and thank God this forum helped those who were granted to get it right the first time. as for coming to africa for xmas... i hope theres no harmattan wh...

papafaith..nope not completely true...except its a new development


both myself and husbands hsmp application were posted to a UK address.

That was was we requested in our cover letter, and i know of other nigerians who did the same thing without hassles.

If you are from nigeria, you may find a bit a difficult proving that your education is worth enough for your father to sell off his vehicle to support it... so please look for a strong arguement. If you are, then convincing the ECO that only you will be staying at the hostel may be difficult though it shouldnt be.. they may not believe your claim that your family will not join you until you have secured approp...

Lu May I ask why you are printing your bank statements for only select months?? Looks unusual to me and the months are quite wide apart.
