There is also a Guidnace note that you can download .. it tells you how to fill th eform and what sort of evidence you need to support your application. I think you should call them again before sending additional docs just to make sure your application hasnt been treated yet. If it hasnt, you definitely should send your docs. I feel that since your husband has already been awarded points in earnings section, submission of ITR at this stage will not be a big supportive evidence.
