In-country application with 3rd party funds from outside UK

Hi guys, I want to switch from Tier 2 to Tier 1 Ent inside the UK with 200K funding. I have some of the money on my UK bank account, and the rest is provided by my uncle in the US. If I get all the needed documents from his bank, a declaration and a confirmation from legal representative, will such ...

I guess there's no straightforward answer, but could the gurus here take an educated guess?

Cheers,

Are additional directors considered employees?

Hi guys,

A quick question about directors and employees:
I run a consulting firm and would like to bring in 2 partners, whom I want to give shares equal to mine and make them directors. Will they be considered employees and them joining the company considered job creation?

Many thanks,
Alex

Re: Qualify for Indefinite Leave to Remain

Hi guys, I was reading the caseworker guidance for Tier 1 Entrepreneur - pages 98-99 - https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/304937/Tier_1_Entrepreneur.pdf There are 2 sections in the table that details the requirements for scoring 35 points for being continuously...

Proof of invested funds

Hi All, I'd like to hear your views on the UKBA policy for Tier 1 Entrepreneur using £50K from a venture capital firm. In theory, to get the visa, you only need to prove that a legitimate VC is WILLING to invest £50K in your business. You don't actually need to show their money in your business acco...

Re: Tier 2 to Tier 1 Entrepreneur

I'm actually in exactly the same situation (Tier 4 -> PSW -> Tier 2 General, now looking to switch to Tier 1 Entrepreneur), and from my understanding you can use either the £200K route or the £50K from VC route. WRT time to ILR - my company did this for me through an immigration lawyer, and when I a...

Re: Switching Tier 2 -> Tier 2 Dependent

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply manci! WRT #2 - if my wife gets ILR after 5 years on Tier 2, I would be eligible for ILR as well, no? Partners: paragraph 319E of the Immigration Rules To be granted indefinite leave to remain as the partner of a PBS migrant, the applicant must:  be the spouse, ci...

Switching Tier 2 -> Tier 2 Dependent

Hi everyone, I'd really appreciate your advice on Tier 2 and ILR issues. I've been on Tier 2 for 1 year now, and my wife is my dependent. We would now like to switch roles, so she would be the Tier 2 holder and I would be her dependent. Her company is willing to sponsor her and she will apply from o...
