Sorry to hear that you haven't received the correct COA. If you supplied all of the correct evidence in support of your application then the Home Office have clearly made a mistake. Complain, pester them, don't give up. Submit a complaint via the Home Office's online complaints submission form, cont...
We wrote to the caseworker and requested that the correct COA be sent. We received it a week or so later. My husband has been in possession of his UK RC for over a year now. Try not to worry. If you have sent the correct evidence then this can be fixed. They could have just made a mistake. Good luck.
I'm Irish and live in Northern Ireland with my American husband. He has a five year UK EEA2 Residence Card. He hasn't been able to find work in NI yet. There are many jobs that he has seen that he could get in Southern Ireland. Here's the dilemma, I cannot leave NI and live in the South because of f...
Hmmmm... I think there's a bit of a duplication of posts going on here too. But the sheer persistence shows the anguish of this OP. To be fair, most of us would have a hard time recalling an exact date from 8 years ago. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, the copying and storing of evidence isn't always...
Hi again! I think you said on your other thread you have council tax letters too. I think those plus the tenancy agreements and your bank statements and P60s SHOULD be enough. (I hope a more senior member will back this up). If you write up a clear cover letter outlining everything and explaining mi...
We're in NI too!
We opened a joint bank account in First Trust Bank relatively easily, shortly after my non EU husband got here, with no FP.
No fees on their current account as long as you stay in credit. We each got debit cards a few days after the account was opened.
I can confirm that my husband registered with the GP before getting his UK RC, and he didn't have a FP either. He just went into the nearest surgery, filled out a form and provided a copy of his passport and our marriage certificate. From what I hear on FB doctors' receptionists are frequently known...
I paid 187 quid to renounce BC last November. I'm refusing to fork out any more to the Home Office. The EEA1 and EEA3 are totally voluntary applications and not required under EU law for the EEA citizen, their rights are acquired AUTOMATICALLY. In answer to your question though, from what I have rea...
If you cannot gather any of those pieces of evidence consider asking your employer to write a letter confirming your length of employment and that you haven't taken any breaks of longer than 6 months in any one year. Good luck!
Although your P60s will state your UK address I fear that they will not be enough on their own. If I imagine myself as the caseworker on your application I would want to see some other evidence too: - Bank statements - Council bills - Tenancy agreements Proving that you worked (through the P60s) is ...
As she is a non visa national she won't need a visa to enter the UK but having an entry visa (EEA FP) makes life easier in the UK until she applies for the EEA2 (5 year Residence Card). She can apply for an EEA FP from her country of origin, this link explains it...
This route is certainly working presently. You won't have to fork out hundreds in legal fees, there are lots of posts on here attesting to it's success. The EEA FP is applied for at your wife's nearest British Embassy and that should be free. The EEA1 is a voluntary registration certificate to confi...
OP why would you have to wait a year before you can see your wife again, that sounds awful? It took 2 months for my confirmation of renounciaton of BC to arrive. If you decide to do this you might only be waiting a few months before you could get your wife to the UK, factoring in how long it takes t...
Sorry to hear that you've had problems. I would phone them again, explain that the COA seems to have gone astray in the post, confirm that they have your correct address and ask (as politely as you can) that they resend it to you.
I would advise to put your heart, soul and proof of your life together into the FP application (show them your commitment). This should be a free application so if the first time it's refused you work on what they had an issue with and fix it the second time around. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES HIRE A LEG...
I forgot to add that because you're not civil partners you'll have to prove that you're in a durable relationship, showing two years proof of living together, etc.
Hi there and welcome to the forum. Your username made me want to click on your post :) Logistics: apply for a EEA Family Permit at your nearest British Embassy. Arrive in the UK and the EEA has 90 days to become a qualified person exercising EU Treaty Rights. The non EU applies for 5 year UK Residen...
Well done on getting so many job offers after only being back such a short time. I'd be inclined to go with the lower paid permanent contract work for the sake of the EEA2 application. Does the permanent job promise any future promotion that would improve the salary? Once your partner gets the RC yo...
