Re: Financial Requirement

Hello Again, My Furlough is apparently coming to an end but I have just received an email from my company and the probability of me being made redundant is very high. As mentioned in my last post we were planing to apply for my partners ILR now in November and now I am desperate as I don’t know what...

Hi Everyone, My partner is due apply for ILR between August and November. I am furloughed since March and she wasn’t working, she is only going back to work now (as self-employed). For a few months, maybe 3 months, we didn’t meet the threshold required, but my annual contract is over 19k, but becaus...

Re: British Passport delay

My mon has also had to send her passports together with the naturalisation certificate in March, and we are wondering if they will send the passports together with the British Passport, or will they send it separately?? What should we do in case we need the passports back? Does anyone has a number t...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hello Everyone, My mom has applied for Naturalisation end of October 2019. I emailed the Nationality helpline and they have replied with a generic response (saying as she applied in September 19 she needs to wait a while longer) but she applied in October so I guess they send the same generic respon...

No earlier than 28 days prior to completing 5 years of residence and no later than the visa expiry date.
Does the residence period start counting from the day you first enter the country with a valid visa? (spouse visa in this case)

Thanks

Right time to apply for ILR

Hello Everyone, My partner got her first Spouse visa in Aug 2015 and she entered the UK on the same month, now she is on her renewed visa due to expire in Nov 2020. Can she apply for ILR in August 2020 when it makes 5 years of residency in the UK or does she have to wait till at least 28 days before...

Re: “Change of name” Enquiry

As per this example it isn't a change of name. In that case don't over think and just leave it like that. You may like to listen another example, some places most frequently in banks they will only issue you bank statements even debit/credit cards in your surname and first name initials e.g M Torre...

As per the example, they just took the "Silvia" and put it together with the middle names, rather than surname.
I mean, they put the “Silvia” together with given names rather than Surname.

ps: All names are for example purposes only

Re: “Change of name” Enquiry

To cut it short & easy the BRP card must match with your current passport for which you might have to make a separate application within 3 months. Thanks, that’s what I thought. :( Is it like a whole new application? with the same huge fees?? No. Simply the brp which costs a couple of hundred £...

Re: “Change of name” Enquiry

My question was actually if she needs apply for a change of name on her Biometric Residence card? This is the main concern, we are not really concerned about the driving licence. She is due to apply for ILR next year and we want to avoid any future problems.

“Change of name” Enquiry

Hello Everyone, My partner has three names in her passport: First, middle and last name. On both previous passports the “middle” name was put together with the surname, and her passport only holds “Given names” and “Surnames” sections. When applying for all the visas and Uk driving licence she alway...

Re: Proof of Living in the UK (Apart from passport)

We are sending two passports but the only entry stamp on these is on Dec 2013 when back from holidays, and there are a few other stamps from Spain and Lisbon holidays but they don’t have the entry stamp in UK when back from these places. We are also sending Self assessment statements from 2014-2019 ...
