Re: ILR Set O - Are cohabitation documents mandatory

I Thank you CR001. I have just received an apology from the consultant saying they forgot to tell me. For anyone's benefit please even if you go through solicitors (even if somebody else is paying for it), do your own research. I am against making sweeping statements but for the record, my immigrati...

ILR Set O - Are cohabitation documents mandatory

I am in the process of applying for ILR using Set O with my spouse as dependent. I have collected documents per a checklist given to me by my employer's immigration consultants. This list however does not include anything related to cohabitation. When I look at my online application, they are in the...

Apologies but I don't think I have said or implied that the argument was about Dual Submission in case I have been misunderstood. Anyways good we are past that.

Re: ILR Application for Kids born in UK

Hi All, Today I have received this email from UK Visas and Immigration with regards to my question about applying for ILR for my kid (born in UK). Thank you for your enquiry dated the 5th August regarding ILR. You will need to submit a application for a visa for your daughter or she would be classe...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

CULLINAN, Thank you for your reply. I don't see how it's possible to get the login details from my solicitor given they are generally non-collaborative and not replying to my queries, so I was hoping it would be possible to achieve via UKVI/UKVCAS and proceed with my application on my own. Obviousl...

Re: Tier 2 to ILR - annual salary increases

You are perhaps overthinking this. Annual Salary review and associated salary increases is all ok. You don't need to report these to UKVI. If it gives you any peace of mind, I am in the same boat. Thank you - appreciate your reply! I guess I'm just worried because everyone in the company got differ...

"From 21 September onwards, ALL customers will need to book an appointment at one of our Service Points. The IDV app will only be available to some T4 students" This is awesome news. I had always seen IDV as a temporary measure. Also UKVCAS will show you available appointments as soon as y...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

@gag285 Thanks. I think I have a UKVCAS account from previous applications for my dependents. If you have a previous UKVCAS account, sometimes it does not sign in as it can not be linked to your new application. If you get any error: Press the “forget password link” on UKVCAS, you will get a new co...

First they were offering to book me at even later date at different location but some how managed to get 16th, so i did not argue Sigh. Solicitors. I thought soliciting was...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

@guggi The best approach all solicitors could/should use is giving access for the UKVCAS system to applicants. There are a couple of applicants who reported getting access from their solicitors. Thank you i will keep you posted, but i doubt they will share credentials I will be submitting my ILR ap...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Is anyone hopeful that Priority services will resume? I understand there is still a massive backlog to clear but if July applicants are getting decisions and those affected by lockdown in March/April are also being dealt with, it does raise hope for the resumption of priority services.

Re: ILR - Children born in the UK

Thank you CR001, I understand. I will take the chance and ignore the consultants. I think they are just trying to skim more money although I am not personally paying for ILR but paying for children's ILR doesn't seem right even with company's money.

Re: ILR - Children born in the UK

Thank you so much. That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I was definitely going to include the situation with my children dependents and the plan to apply for BC in the cover letter. Infact, this is what prompted the consultants to give me a call as they never handled their Tier 2 (while they di...

ILR - Children born in the UK

Hi My current status is Tier 2 General with 3 dependants. I + my spouse will be eligible to apply for ILR from 01st Oct 2020. Our current Tier 2 leave expires on the 28th of Oct 2020. I have two children both born in the UK. I applied for their Tier 2 leave just so they could travel outside the UK a...

My work has just told me that I am going to be made redundant so now I'm sweating bullets. I emailed and called UKVCAS about what's going on with my application and biometric re-use progress and they just told me the same info as what was in the email they sent start of July and that they will have...

Hi ,

If it’s a new hire, I am not a high earner nor am I a doctor/nurse/phd then what should I select? It does not fit with any of the sub categories.
I hope you are not looking at the visa system for Switching. Your case is not a switch

Re: Tier 2 General - Sub Category

Are these your company's internal Immigration codes ? In your situation you are not switching and will need to apply for entry clearance from your home country. You will need to apply for a Tier 2 General.
