English Language Requirement for ILR

I am in the process of gathering documents for an ILR application in early Oct. My company's immigration consultants believe that I do not need to do anything additional to satisfy the English language requirement as the degree I submitted at the time of my current leave i.e. Tier 2 in 2015 along wi...

No you will be granted visa with an end date such that the total time you have spent on Tier 2 is not more than 6 years. The end date of CoS doesn't necessarily mean the end date of your visa

Re: Tier 2 ICT visa

Yes. Your Tier 2 clock is reset. I believe the Tier 2 clock is reset only if the OP applies for a fresh entry clearance Yes but the context, in this case, is different. By Tier 2 clock I mean the ability to apply for a Tier 2 so not the time spent on Tier 2 but the time spent out of UK after Tier 2...

CoS can be issued for even 6 months. Your total stay on Tier 2 General cannot be more than 6 years.

Re: Labour market test- Job advert

It is not necessary that the jobs on offer come with sponsorship just because the employer is on the Sponsors Register. They sometimes do make it clear up-front if they are unwilling to sponsor but many times not. Your best bet is to ask. You cannot simply assume that because the job is not on the g...

You have nothing to worry about then. You can definitely apply for Tier 2 General provided you meet the conditions. Your current employment or its length has no bearing on the outcome.

There is no such rule. The only possible sticky situation could be, RLMT for your Tier 2 General could seem like you are pre-selected. Is your job on Shortage Occupation List?

Re: Different adress for baby visa

An easy way would be to mention the official address of the main Tier 2 applicant. You would usually do that when applying it from outside UK while you have no address in the UK.

Degree required for an ILR application (5 year route) ?

I am on a Tier 2 General visa since Oct 2015 and will hopefully apply for ILR next year. One question I keep pondering about is: Is a degree required for an ILR application? So the NARIC comparability assessment is required for English proficiency but I believe for the same money you could take a co...

Re: Tier 2 Dependent Child Nursery Hours

I think if they are not receiving funding you should be ok. In private nurseries, they ask you to get a code from your local council to get access to 30 hour funding if you are eligible. 15 hours is given to every child (3-4 years old) regardless of their status.

Re: Overcharged visa fee (i think) - how to get a refund?

Thanks a lot. With this news you saved a lot of money that most of the people applying would give for nothing. About £700. I was nervous while applying but I have read somewhere that your application is unlikely to be refused if the caseworker thinks that you have underpaid. You will simply be aske...

Hi Gag285;

Just to confirm, did you applied 3 years visa even though your COS was issued longer than 3 years?
Thanks - Yes paid the fee for less than 3 years as the main applicant's leave is only till Oct 2020 but it was originally given for 5 years.

Re: tier 2 depedent visa new born

Yes as long as the baby does not have to leave and re-enter UK. The trouble is IHS fee which might become an issue if NHS starts enforcing it. You can however buy private health insurance for your baby to cover the period ( its not necessary)

Re: Tier II visa travelling out of the UK - urgent

IMHO , your Tier 2 visa will lapse (per immigration rules) as soon as you leave the UK in your situation. Home office may not get to your case by the time you leave and return as the process could take time. This means when you return you will most likely have to answer questions about your employme...

Re: No visa for a baby born in uk beyond 3 months

I do not think NHS enforces the three months rule or guidance. Your baby practically only needs the visa to re-enter. I had my first one and I did not apply for their leave until 7 months and there were no problems with NHS. Second one and I have recently applied (after 4 months). You should be abs...
