Re: Visa type for UK born baby?

You cannot enter the CoS number as the license number. I have done the same application two weeks ago and you need to get the license number of your sponsor. Try it i the communication you might have had with your employer when doing it for yourself. If not, try to get it from your company's HR or ...

Re: Overcharged visa fee (i think) - how to get a refund?

I have heard that people chose the 3 year option knowing that it is not accurate while stating the length of their own CoS . This then gets the system to charge the under 3 year fee. I am yet to hear anyone being asked to pay more or refused child dependent visa. FYI I will be doing the same soon.

Re: Tier2 ICT to Tier 2 General Visa

I think the OP may have stayed only 60 days on a Tier 2 ICT long term which they think was the validity but i could be wrong. Either ways, the Tier 2 General can only be applied 12 months after they returned assuming it is unlikely the long term leave from rules in place before 2011 was existing in...

Your sponsor can also include your dependents on the maintenance letter. It is not uncommon. They are only providing a surety on a piece of paper and nothing more.

Re: Savings

Can your sponsor not give you a maintenance letter. It will be a lot simpler and straight forward. The guidance is money in bank account for other means of maintenance

Re: PBS Dependent_Extension - Visa Fees Charged £1427.20

I doubt they will issue a refund. This particular case where a dependent visa is applied while the main applicant's remaining visa length is less than 3 years or like in your case extension based on last leave is ambiguous in terms of fee charged. They state it is issued in line with the main appli...

Re: Tier 2 Outside the UK travels question

You are overthinking this. Go with the book and mention the date you left the UK regardless of whether one minute was left or half. Regarding when your Schengen was valid from is of no consequence to your ILR application. Schengen and its validity is not UKVI's remit

Re: Tier 2 Dependent Visa Wrong Fees Paid - Help with Refund

It is unlikely you would get a refund. The dependent leave is considered in line with the main applicant's leave and is issued for the same duration - not the length of time left on the main applicant's visa, although it does make sense in that the length of time they might get may or may not fall ...

So that I can apply for visa in August and will be re...

Re: TIER 2 DEPENDENT - CHILD VISA FEES

Are you sure about this. The dependent's leave is given in line with the main applicant's leave which would mean you pay in accordance with your own category less than 3 or over 3. I know this could save you money if less than 3 years are left on main applicant's visa but is this in line with the r...

Re: Tier 2 Baby born in UK

I have read here before that it is possible to apply for visa for a baby without a passport. I am not sure of the documents required. Since you cannot travel with her until you receive her passport, you can as well wait until you have the passport and then apply for her visa. Other members of the f...

Re: Return BRP before curtailment end date, necessary?

I think you must return it. I once carried an expired BRP from a previous Tier 2 ICT leave and while entering UK with a new leave it was left in the passport as I produced it to the immigration officer. They actually asked me why I was carrying an expired BRP and never cared to return it. I responde...

Re: ILR under Long residency rules

No it does not. The requirement is that the applicant left the UK with valid leave and return with valid leave (either the same visa or a new entry clearance) within 180 days. Wow that's a pleasant surprise. This literally cuts down a year to qualify for ILR based on long residence for my wife. Tha...

Re: ILR under Long residency rules

For long residency, ANY gap of 180 days or more breaks continuity of residence. There are very few exceptions or discretion given for absence exceeding 180 days. CR001, Does the gap in the change of visas not break the continuous leave anyways. IMHO had his Tier 2 ICT expired in 2012 and didn't app...

Re: ICT Tier2 ST to Tier 2 General

Its not just your employer who cannot sponsor you.
You are basically debarred from the UK work market for a year i.e. cool off. You can, however, work on a different visa e.g. a Tier 2 dependant or a Tier 4 dependant
