I was applying for my visa or ILE before this specific visa went away on April 2 2007. She said that you cannot apply until three months before y...

Sample of letter of support for spouse visa

I would like to see a sample of a letter of support if anyone has one. According to the visa app it says if you are staying with family or friends until you find suitable accomodation you need a letter from them stating that fact. Does anybody have an expample of what it should say?

You need to live in the UK for three years before applying for naturalisation, I'm afraid... For the time being, if you apply for a spouse visa for the UK, you should immediately be granted "indefinite leave to enter" (ILE) - ie settlement with no restrictions - because you have been marr...

Settlement Visa

I want to apply for a settlement visa for myself as I am married to a Brit. We have been married for over 20 years and live in the US. Do I have to have a trip planned to the UK for this or can I just apply and then once I get it just have it for the next time I return to the UK?

Are you sure about that? I thought as a spouse of a EU national I would be ok without a visa, that seems a bit strange. So if we have kids than I and the kids would have to get a visa and my husband not? Not really treating you as a family then are they? I wil have to look at this further.

EU Citizen overstaying 90 day limit in Europe

Ok If I understand this right, if you are an EU citizen you can overstay the 90 day Schengan limit in Schengan countries? If you want to stay longer somewhere you can go to the embassy or whatever and say I want to stay longer in your country and as a spouse of an EU citizen even though I am America...

Long Stay in Greece

My wife and I are planning on spending over the 90 day limit in Greece. Do we have to apply for a long stay visa for Greece before we leave the states? Also when we leave Greece can we then travel around the other Schengan countries for 90 days or have we used that up by staying in Greece?
