Problem with BRP - contact for Home office

Hi I got my ILR relatively straight forward. However, upon receiving my BRP I noticed the photo on it was quite substandard. When the immigration officers took a photo for my Biometric there was a chair in the background and it is now clearly shown protruding from my back and also my face is not eve...

Spouse visa/ Family Planning

Hi All, Apologies for the bad title. I cannot think of a better one. My husband is British and lived in UK for more than 20 years. I had been in here on student visa then on work visa for around 10 years, switched to spouse visa 2.5 years ago. I had just renewed and received my spouse visa and will ...

Re: How early can I apply for Spouse Visa Renewal?

You may apply for extensions at any time before your leave expires. But take care not to apply too early as you may end up with insufficient leave to complete your qualifying period for ILR. Thank you, that's true I did not take in account of the ILR at the end. May I ask does Home office not add m...

How early can I apply for Spouse Visa Renewal?

Hi all, My current Spouse Visa will expire on 5th of December 2016. This was my first spouse visa application and it was granted for 2.5 yrs when I applied for it in 2014 (starting date 5th of June 2014). Before I got married I was living in the UK on company sponsored work visa, i applied for the s...

Re: Absent days allowed- Being sent away from UK for work

Ah, thank you though. Because I had came across this document and seem to be the only detailed document about what is considered exceptional absence. I understand spouse visa is a lot stricter and long term absence like this will be viewed very negatively. Just want to see if I interpreted it corre...

Re: Absent days allowed- Being sent away from UK for work

Thanks but I didn't find this document cover people on Spouse visa? Is this the correct document to refer to? Apologies, my misunderstanding of your reference to ILR. I'm no longer up to date with the spouse visa but I seem to recall absence limits are more strict than for ILR. Ah, thank you though...

Absent days allowed- Being sent away from UK for work

Currently I am planning to apply for the Indefinite Leave to Remain using the 5 years route in 2019. I am working for a UK company and they had ask m...

Re: How to answer Immigration History question for FLR(M)

It reads as though they are asking about your current status so put the details of your entry on the current visa. Thanks for the response! So I should probably put down my most recently obtained Visa (Tier 2 Work visa sponsored by my current company) and my most recent entry dates to UK (holiday i...

How to answer Immigration History question for FLR(M)

Hi, I am trying to complete the FLR(M) form as a spouse of a British person. I had been in the UK for quite some years now, all on many many different visas. When I am filling the form I came across this part: 5.1 Did you enter the UK legally? Yes 5.2 If yes, when did you enter the UK? 5.3 In what c...

Financial requirement supporting documents?

Hi everyone, I am planning to apply for a spouse visa using FLR(M) in the UK. My partner is a director of his own limited company based in the UK. He works as a contractor, so it is really a one man company he plays the director and the staff. I wish to include his income in my application to meet t...

Re: flr m postal application payment confusions

My advice is always, always use Postal Orders. After about 10 visa apps we've had no payment issues, whilst if you look on here you don't have to look far to read tales of payments not taken woes, declined issues and bank refused payment unusual activity etc etc. There's a fair old surcharge but wh...
