Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Hi all, I have been watching this board for the past six weeks or so and it gave me that "maybe tomorrow" hope... thanks for that. Loud knock on the door woke me up this morning - worth it as it was my BRP! 4 March - applied via post 19 March - Biometrics letter received 20 March - Biomet...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

@nashpope We did our biometrics at the same time as you, which probably means we should hear around the same time. I pushed as hard as I could on the phone but they wouldn't give me any kind of indication :-( Let's hope it's soon as the stress is getting unbareable. I keep on thinking is it taking s...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

In progress means they are looking at it. We were expecting a decision last week, but when I phoned today it's still in progress :-( A week on Wednesday will take us up to 20 weeks waiting for what we were told was a straightforward application. This might mean we loose the opportunity to open our ...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

@seeker26

We were told the same thing by the checking service and we are now over 18 weeks (they told us it would be three months max!)

It's so frustrating. If they just gave us a date or a way to track our applications?!

I just phoned and got through, so they must be working as normal. Our application is STILL being processed! I asked her if there was any problem and she said "no it's just being processed. They will contact you if there is a problem"

18 weeks in and I really had hoped for a decision by now. I'm 16 weeks pregnant and the stress with the waiting can't be good for me.

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Re paying with cheque, I did this and I don't think it delayed anything; application sent Feb 28 (SET M), Documents back July 3, BRP received July 7. Hope that helps and wishing everyone the best of luck. It's just that people who applied after us got invited for their biometrics 8 days before. I k...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Just another thought... We got our invite to do biometrics later than some people who applied later than us. We payed by cheque. I wonder if this delayed us? We were told they don't even put your application in the pile to be looked at until first your payment is cleared. This then triggers the biom...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

I'm super excited to go home, open the door and see if there is an exciting brown envelope on the mat! Now I've posted about it there probably won't. But here is hoping that this week will bring good news for all of us early March applicants :-) We were March the 5th, but didn't get invited for biom...

Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Another bit of good news today. Friends of ours got their postal SET M back today, with a positive result. It took four and a half months, which seems to be the average at the moment. On the positive side that could mean ours comes back in two weeks time, which is also the date we have our 16 week s...

Mehmood7867 we applied a month before you, also on SET M and have had no news yet. By the looks of things on here it's taking about 4 and a half months at the moment :-(

Still about another month and a half for us :-(
