A story on Radio 4 this morning about the passport delays and strikes implied that people are being pulled from other areas of the home office to speed up passports. Could be why we have suddenly gone from a 4.5 month wait to now what's looking like a 5.5 -6 month wait for decisions.

I completely agree. If it takes this long for us then I dead to think about other applicants not as fortunate as us. The system is not right.

I phoned again today. Got the standard your application is being processed. They started processing March applications on the 8th of July. They would not be pushed on how long it takes, only that it should be within 6 months
