Re: FLR(FP) and Discretionary Leave to Remain timelines

And I FINALLY exhale!!!!!!! Glory to God! I have been granted 30months with no recourse to public funds BUT hey, I have survived so far without any govt help......lol Brief history, came here in the late 90's to study and further leave put in 2000 with no response from the HO until 2008 with a refu...

Re: FLR(FP) and Discretionary Leave to Remain timelines

Yes it was financial too. I am now working full time but still below the threshold. @flozo64: Be positive, and you don't worry....you have a strong chance because you have a BC...just keep praying and being positive. When you went to the first tier tribunal, i suppose you were being asked questions...

Re: FLR(FP) and Discretionary Leave to Remain timelines

@flozo64: I also went through the while appeal process after the flr(m), how long have you applied and do you have any children ? Applied for the flr(m) back in 2012 and went to first tier but weren't allowed to go to upper. We have one son and applied flr(fp) 3 weeks ago. Your situation and mine a...

Re: FLR(FP) and Discretionary Leave to Remain timelines

Its now 15 weeks since i sent my FLR(FP) Application. Is it true that cases that receive quick response from the HO are usually more successful than the cases they waste more time on ? That's a very long time! Why is your application taking so long? Did the ho tell you it may take longer than usual...

Re: FLR(FP) and Discretionary Leave to Remain timelines

I think yours will arrive soon, I know of someone whose husband was granted recently after a 10 week wait.

I'm just a little bit concerned because I applied based on me working full time, but this is temporary and I may be out of work just after the 8 week mark.

Unfortunately no, your choice will be an appeal, reconsideration or new application.

Re: Visa Expiring and 2 months payslips needed - FLR M

It may be better for your partner to return to the home country and apply. If you apply flr(m) and are refused, you could go to appeal but in the end if the appeal is refused, your partner will have no stay and thus would not be able to apply flr(m) from inside the uk for a second time.

Re: FLR(FP) and Discretionary Leave to Remain timelines

Hi, No we used the older form but I don't think it should make any difference, our solicitor sorted it for us. I wouldn't worry, nothing we can do now but wait! What is your situation @ma logo? Just worried the HO use any small excuse to refuse applications. I applied on the basis of a British wife...

Re: working tax no leave to remain

Yes I am British.

I have put both our names on the claim but under my husband's name it states he is claiming working tax credits with me jointly as a couple. But he isn't entitled to any benefits so surely it shouldn't be joint?

working tax no leave to remain

Hi My husband originally came to the UK as a student, our application for a spouse visa was refused, we are now applying for flr(fp). However I just started work and applied for working tax credit. The claim came through the post as a joint claim, I am phoning to correct this. But I want to know if ...

Re: flr(fp) from in UK or flr(m) from outside

Hi Zambrano has been refused through two appeals, so we are submitting flr(fp) this week. We have a good solicitor, he has been successful with a friend of ours application for flr(fp). I am working full time now too. The application should hopefully be back in a few months, if it's refused we are p...

Re: appeal & pregnant

I have a friend who is pregnant and received a 6 month discretionary leave after her gp wrote a letter. So in this time if you're currently legal you will remain so with the same previous rights. What you need to plan is after the baby is born.

Re: FLR(FP) and Discretionary Leave to Remain timelines

Hi I've been reading these posts with interest, how many people are applying flr(fp) with a partner classed as an overstayer (my husband's original visa expired after applying spouse visa which was rejected hence now seen as overstayer). Also anyone applying whilst uk citizen only working part time?...

Re: staying the in Uk with husband?

Hi If your husband becomes a geman citizen he will have the right to free movement. However for travelling as your husband he should apply for an eea family permit to the UK, which lasts 6 months and then a residence permit once here https://www.gov.uk/family-permit https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-a-uk...

Re: EEA Family Permit For my brother

Divorce? Domestic violence? What are you talking about? Domestic violence is a serious matter and divorce wouldn't apply unless married to an eea citizen. The best thing to do would be to gain European citizenship, this would be much stronger than simply trying to enter Britain and fight an appeal f...

Re: EEA Family Permit For my brother

Bringing siblings to Europe? Under the eu directive you have the right to bring family to Europe as you exercise your treaty rights. If you bring a sibling back to the UK under a family permit and they aren't granted another visa they will have no rights to remain.
