how to track application status online?

I have tried this website: https://www.vfsglobal.org/ukg-passportt ... ?undefined

But it says page unavailable or error after entering the application reference number.

Did they stop showing the status online anymore for general visitor visa?

Is it OK to only submit scanned and printed copies for the sponsor (bank statement, payslip, sponsorship letter, etc) ?

Does anyone had any experience doing this? Or should I submit only originals?
