Is there a process to check the status or to escalate the application? Could someone please comment roughly how many weeks it took recent...

Re: Issue with P60

Did you check with the employer whether they can give you a copy of that P45 or original if they have?

I think it is the law that your employer should keep all the original document/copy and copies of any communications they send to the employees at least for a certain period(years).

Re: Should the employer letter for ILR only from HR?

The ILR guidance states that you need to submit letter from the "employer", I have seen businesses with Tier 2 sponsorship but without any HR department. In that case owner of the company or directors can probably confirm your job and other details. If there is an HR department in your com...

Re: Applying in person 28 days before

1. When will my ILR be valid from? The date of my appointment at the HO? ILR is valid from the decision date. 2. The website says the biometric is received within 7-10 working days. How soon do people normally receive it? It can take between 2-15 days depending on the IT issues or printing delay. I...

Re: Status of Tier1 (Gen)dependent after main Applicant gets

That means they will have to continue on Tier 1 (extend if required) until they qualify for ILR. This will be a 5 year period prior to the date of application if they have received their entry clearance after 9th July 2012 .

Declare the CCJ in SET(O) form. This wouldn't impact your ILR application. If the status of the reported CCJ is cancelled then get the certificate from court and submit with the application.

Does that mean I can never be absent from the UK outside my Paid Annual Leaves (25 days per annum) during the 5 year period? There is no rule like that. The number of absences shouldn't be more than 180 days in any qualification year. Does the 180 day rule not hold valid for a Tier 2 General migran...

Since your holidays are personal and the number of days are less than 100 in last 5 years, no need to worry. You can write the absences in the form by checking the stamps in the passport. You can ask you employer to write in the letter stating that you haven't taken any unpaid leaves and all your ho...
