Try-One,

Thanks for your reply.

In IT field, how do they normally conduct interviews in UK? Telephonic interviews as in US? Or do they insist on personal interviews?

What is the typical recruitment process?

Interesting point. Is there any concept like blacklisting CVs in UK? When we submit our resumes electronically, the recruiters get our details. Assuming that our resume is not matching to the job we applied for, would they delete the CV from the database? Months ago, before the approval of my HSMP, ...

IT Job postings - some to just collect resumes?

In some of the popular job sites, I find that the same job description with reference to an unknown baking organization, is posted again, and again.. for months.. Is the agency posting these advertisemsnts just collecting the resumes, or really this job is not filled? How risky it is to respond to s...

EC - VAF1 2004 Non Settlement or VAF2 2004 Settlement

Can anyone please advise which form we should fill for EC application for HSMP entry

I am seeing from the embassy web site there are two forms available: VAF1 2004 Non Settlement or VAF2 2004 Settlement.

As HSMP holder, we go for settling in UK, then should we fill VAF2 2004 Settlement?

Thanks very much buntosanya for your reply. I am currently holding a very good, high paying position outside UK (but within Europe). Thats why I want to apply for and get a job before moving to UK. Since I am in Europe I can attend personal interviews, if necessary with the UK employers. Permanent J...

The Best Agencies for IT professionals

Kindly suggest

(1) Recruitment agencies that are reliable and helpful for IT professionals?

(2) In UK, if we get jobs through Agencies, should we have to pay any fees to the Agency? With the Agency deduct part of our salaries?

Rogerio, Thanks for your reply. Initially they issue a HSMP approval letter which is not a visa. When we go for EC, I think they issue a HSMP permit visa. The Visitor Visa was issued before the approval of HSMP. The Visitor visa is valid. I do not have any other Visa, but have only HSMP approval let...

Travelling with Visitor Visa after approval of HSMP

If we have a valid vistor visa, and also have HSMP approved, (1) Can we travel to UK with the visitor visa before going for EC (for HSMP)?. (2) Will there be any problem when we go for HSMP EC? (Eg., Why you travelled on Visitor Visa when you have your HSMP approved already?) I dont want to get into...

(1) Royal mail web site says that the maximum weight for Airmail is 2 kg. (5 kg for printed materials and booklets only). If our documents are more than 2 kg (My documents were, since I included lot of evidences for significant achievements), how does the Royal mail trasmit the documents? Would more...

JoeCheng, Did you try to contact HO over phone? What reply did you get? It looks like almost two months are over in your case. Are you going to ask for another copy of the decision letter? What about your certificates? In the worst case, can you get duplicates from your University? What are your pla...

amithanda,

Did you request in your covering letter that you be notified when decision is made? I think if you dont specifically mention this, they automatically post the decision letter and documents by Airmail to you without any prior email notification.
