Re: A new way of acquiring Tier 1 Entrepreneur

I've been advised that T1 Ent. route applicants can start a new business or take over another business or be an equal partner in a business, but i am not sure the policy is clear on the part if someone invested 200K in a business that is worth 2M, and ended up having a 10% stake with a Director titl...

Re: Accelerated route to ILR (3 years)

If some one entered UK in January 2013 and his extension is due in January 2016, now what will happen if he has established the business , invested 200K and have generated two jobs but he was absent for more that 180 days in one calender year? Secondly if that person got the extension and after 5 y...

Re: Accelerated route to ILR (3 years)

I think the rules of the 180 days also apply for the visa itself, not only ILR. They may dont care about extension, but suppose you got your visa and entered UK on Jan 2014, then you left for 10 month and came back Oct 2014. In theory, the visa is not valid any more as you stayed outside more than 1...

Re: urgent help needed , please advice

@Javid, Do you have residence visa for Dubai? if you do, then you can apply from Dubai, otherwise you can't. I think it will not make a difference from where to apply. If its me, i will apply from Italy, i am guessing less people applying T1 from Italy so they will probably process it faster maybe! ...

Re: Meet up Group for Visa Holders

Hi, I have posted a long (too long actually, over 1000 words) update on the group page right after the first meeting discussing what is the plan for Meetup 2 & 3. We got "almost" confirmation that I can invite one of the policy makers/advisors working at UKBA to come and answer some of...

Re: Tier 1 Entrepreneur Dependent visa

Just arrived to London and didn't check here for a while.... I think it is 'safer' to show both, more so if you are going to use the SAME BANK ACCOUNT you submitted for your visa. If your dependent are showing their own bank account then they will only need to show for themselves. If you are submitt...

June 2014, 7 working days from Dubai. @David, Did you travel already to London or still in Nigeria? Wanted to check if UK does like USA where first time landing on new visa they do data intake. Re: Entrepreneur Visa £200K route from outside the UK

Looking at your first post, if one of them already have an account opened in the UK, maybe he can instruct the bank (using notarized documents from overseas) to add his brother name to the account so it becomes a joint account. This may not work depending on the bank and what they will need, but its...

You need to contact the international team directly as other bank staff don't know about it. Here is the link https://wealth.barclays....

The safest option is to assume the person stayed less than 12 months in UK.

The trick part is when UKBA will consider his stay in the UK! It can be interrupted as from when he got his T1 visa.

I just have a simple question, does applying within the UK or outside the UK have any impact on the application processing time? Is one recommended over the other? For this reason or any other? I think i saw somewhere (can't recall the address) in UK Gov site a statistic report regarding number of ...

I really didn't read all the new rules and only skimmed it fast, but i think i read somewhere that now its not related to the submission date, and its more related to decision date. Any decision made after 11/07/14 will be under the new rules and not the application submission date. Again, i am not ...

Re: Cannot understand this new rule

I think this is again to give them the flexibility to asses genuine and non genuine during extension request. Similar to all other gov. rules if you can prove you have fulfilled all the rules then they must give extension as they can't prove intention. They may have discovered cases where they used ...

More so,the abuse of the system is rife and the sins of a very few is affecting the chances of the majority of people who have real interest in submitting an application to do genuine business in the UK. So in your opinion, the % of people applying to switch and are non-genuine are small? I think i...

Re: Entrepreneur Visa £200K route from outside the UK

Rather than sending the money back home, they can open accounts in UK. Non-residents can open international accounts in the UK. I did it last month with Barclays.

Source of funds will be seen as internal UK transfer from your account to their joint account or to each own account.
