Re: financial requirement for spouse of an IT contractor - spouse visa extension

Any ideas on the above?

I am waiting to fill in section 7 of the flr(m) application form. My accountant has filed accounts for 11 months from July 2017 to May 2018. This will mean that it doesn't tie in with the '12 months' that has been stated on the guidance.

Thanks,
Krish

Re: Spouse visa extension after 33 months

That is great. Thanks a lot for the clarification.

In terms of the physical application form to be downloaded, printed to be filled in. is it the FLR(M) application form?

Thanks again for the information.

Spouse visa extension after 33 months

Hi all, I have a query around my wife's extension after 33 months on being on spouse visa. My wife got her spouse visa in Oct 2015. The visa was given for 33 months valid from 15/10/2015 to 15/07/2018. Now we are preparing for her spouse visa extension (on the basis of me being a British citizen). T...

Travel advice to India and OCI new registration

Hi, I have a couple of questions. Firstly, My son is 2 years old and originally had an Indian passport. He later got registered as a British Citizen and has British Citizenship now. I have not been able to apply for OCI yet. He is due to travel to India on 06/12/2016 for a period of 2 months. I have...

Re: travel on indian passport after british citizenship

Thanks, that makes sense.

But, does he not need the BRP to travel to India. Will just the Indian passport do to travel to India then.

If that is the case, I will return the BRP to Home Office and

make sure he will return to the UK using the British passport.

Is that all right then

Thanks,

Re: travel on indian passport after british citizenship

Thanks for the reply. I have applied for naturalisaion as well but it was a separate application. I applied a month before I applied for my son. Strange that I received the passport before the certificate. One more question, do I need to carry that certificate while travelling out of the country alo...

Also, I have applied for the british citizenship for my son using the Nationality Checking Service ( pilot scheme - both registration and passport at the same time) Whilst my son has received the passport, we haven't received any certificate of registration. Re: travel on indian passport after british citizenship

Thanks Simon for the response.

How about

4. What about the BRP return - I have read that the BRP needs to be returned within 5 days of acquiring citizenship (note that he doesn't have an ILR, its just dependant visa valid till June 2018).

Thanks

Re: child registration as BC

Thanks Vinny for your reply. I have a quick question though. what would happen with the Indian passport that the baby holds. Do I need to surrender it to the Indian High Commission. child registration as BC

Hello, My situation: My son was born in October 2014 and I was still on Tier 1 visa. My wife and son travelled to India in Nov 2014 and I got my ILR in Dec 2014. Since my son was not eligible for BC when he was born, I had to apply for Indian passport for the baby so that they could travel. In 2015,...

Re: Amending spouse settlement visa application submitted on

Great, thanks for the assurance. I am in a crazy situation. Crazy as it may sound, I have hired a lawyer after the visa was refused for the first time and paid them a lot (a lot!!) of money. It was the lawyer who filled the application forms incorrectly even after a lot of emails and submitted them,...

Sorry for reopening this thread. Thanks Raju for the great help. I have another question though. Re: Amending spouse settlement visa application submitted on

Appreciate that there are more people looking for answers here but would be grateful if someone can answer this

I'm in a dilemma as to whether I withdraw the application because of the reason mentioned above and apply after a month or would it be OK to apply now.

Thanks,

hi,

thanks for the reply. I have paid for the appointment already.

when you say "else just use your existing applicaton and make corrections to it"

do you mean change the application from by hand in ink. Are they going to be OK with it?

Re: PIO/OCI card for baby born in UK

Thanks for the reply. I have a quick question though.

Is it necessary to apply for a dependent visa for the baby or can I get away with applying a visit visa and then once the baby is in UK apply for the British citizenship as the baby was born in the UK
