It does seem very harsh, that you could be deported for i.e. a missing payslip when applying for FLR and then have to appeal from your home country. What happens to British children involved are they expected to leave with the parent too. Seems to draconian.

I read an article on BBC which stated that the 'deport first, appeal later' rule which was previously introduced to deport criminals or unsavoury characters has been extended to all appellants.
