Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

The figure of 120 a week (est) is whats needed to fulfil adequate maintenance requirement, which replaces financial requirement for DLA Claimants. If you dont claim DLA or another qualifying benefit that exempts you from the Financial Requirement then you'll need to meet the full requirement, £18,40...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

Having DLA or not having DLA doesnt really affect your chances, its more to do with the financial requirement. It can help you if you dont meet the income threshold as then all you need to meet is adequate maintenance. Thats the only difference. I know someone who applied with DLA and didnt get it b...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

Hi there, What is the "Applicant Intent Letter" that my wife has to fill out? Where do I get this form from? Also, as far as forms go, its the VAF4A form which I need to do online, and print a paper copy. Appendix 2. Receipt payment and what else? Can we book an appointment whilst in Paki...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

Even if you apply for it now I dont think it will impact your application either way. If you earn enough and meet the financial requirement then regardless of whether you are a DLA claimant or not it wouldn't impact your application. I could have not mentioned DLA and still would have been alright b...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

I don't fully understand it myself just yet but I think the visa you get issued to begin with is for 2.5 years, then you have to apply for either Further leave to remain or Indefinite leave to remain. Haven't gottten that far yet to be honest, lol - just want the first hurdle out of the way. My unde...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

abdulraheem123, I dont think its a requirement that you must have your birth certificates but as I had mine and she had hers we just included it (the more docs you can provide the better, thats the way I see it). If you dont have something then either dont mention it or if its something important tr...

Thanks for all your kind words. I relaly hope everyone gets their visas soon. Insha Allah. If successful I'll surely advise on exactly what I included in the application as I have it saved and it may help others applying soon. If the visa is granted, must my wife travel to the UK within 3 months of ...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

I suppose that it's a positive thing that they are conducting further enquiries. At least it means they have looked at my case and its only been just over 2 weeks since submission. Realistially speaking if they had to contact say bank or HMRC/Employer they would just get onto doing that straight awa...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

shazia79,

You should be fine. As someone mentioned just above the letter from HMRC is only required for self-employed people, otherwise salaried people just need to submit what you have, i.e. p60, payslip, letter from employer. Insha Allah all will be fine.

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

I believe that new applications with GWF numbers can only be tracked online via email, chat or call to UKVI directly and you can't use the VFS Global Tracking service. My wife applied a few days ago and was only given the same GWF Number that we knew of and nothing else, so this surely must be the c...

Re: Home survey report requirement and parents visit visa

Hi, you do need this and try to avoid real estate agents. Get it done through your local council. The reason this is required it not to do with proving ownership of the property, its more to do with overcrowding legislation, health and safety etc as per housing act 1985 - which is mentioned in the I...

If its easy and quick to get another test done then I would recommend this. Otherwise as you rightfully say its not worth getting refused over. If you can go for a new test.

Re: Cash Savings for Spouse Visa

The answer to this question isn't documented anywhere as far as I am aware but my understanding is that as long as the application date of your settlement visa falls within 2 years of the certificate's validity then you should not have any problems. Can I just ask which test was taken and whether th...

Questions about Islamabad VAC

My wife will be going to her Visa application appointment next week and I have just a few questions. Grateful for any help. 1. Re: CNIC & Passport Changes Required - Urgent

Try contact the Pakistani High Commission in London; they can best advise on what to do, or otherwise next time you are in Pakistan your local Nadra office will get you to fill out a form and get this done for you within minutes.
