Would I get back my Irish Cert and my original documentation

Hi,

Congratulations to all new citizens,... and for those who are not citizens yet, hang on there,... you'll be Irish soon (hi hope).

My question could seem silly but, will I get back my Irish cert and my original documentation after they approve my Irish passport?

Cheers.

Re: Green Card to Stamp4

Hi,... There is a minimum amount of time that you need to reside in Ireland before you can apply for permanent residency... if you are not EU, then the amount of time you need to stay in Ireland on working visas is 8 years. So,.. sorry with only 24 months you can't get a stamp 4. Good luck. Conejo

Re: U.K citizen and non EU partner moving to Ireland?

Hi Ginseng, Just so you are clear with the applications for your partner, there are 2 'practical' options: 1 - Defacto relationship, which is a good option (in paper) if you are not planning to get married anytime soon. The bad thing with this way is that it takes a long time to process and is a pai...

Re: Duration of stay:XX and no entry stamp... problems?

Hi Liminal, In my own experience, as long as the EU spause of the non-EU is living here there is no problem at all. Just make sure to go to the INIS guys as soon as possible. No worries if you came in boat and there is no stamp in her passport, just make sure to mention that to the INIS guys. Regard...

Re: Irish embassy in South Africa / rights of EU Citizens

I know Mag, that's why I suggested to get a permit/visa in a German Embassy,... as they are married it should be fairly easy to get a visa to go to Germany.

Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Cheers

Re: Irish embassy in South Africa / rights of EU Citizens

Hi, I suggest you to go to Germany (maybe stay there with some of your family), as it can be fairly easy to get a permit for your husband in a German Embassy to get out of there (as your husband he will have some rights), rather than to any other European embassy. I think all Irish embassies will be...

Re: Retention of rights (ROR)

Hi, I'm afraid INIS guys don't like that kind of situation and they consider that as a way to become Irish/European, I know 2 fiends of mine in the same situation (got deported), and other person in this forum (http://www.immigrationboards.com/ireland/retention-visa-repatriation-t164545.html)... Hi, I would like to help, but I feel like your question/post is not clear (I might not be the only one thinking this way, as there are no replies to your post). Can you please explain your situation: Are you in Ireland? Which country are you from? is your partner married to you? or what is your situ...

Re: De Facto Application and Process - Have I made a mistake

Hi Lololoreich, I'm going to put my self in context: I'm from SouthAmerica and being honest, the DefactoRelationship whasn't a good option since the beginning (talking about my own experience), cause the truth is: INIS guys are against this process to get any form of citizenship (they asked several ...

Hi Courny, I'm from southAmerica myself and I'm a stamp 4 holder.., at the time I when to ask the same question to INIS guys in Dublin, they told me that I have to be present 1 year (no going out of Ireland) before the date of my application. Hi fellow members, Now I'm a bit confused... on the Form 14: "Declaration of intention to retain Irish citizenship by a naturalised Irish citizen residing outside Ireland", it says to fill it out every year,... where did the 7 years number come from / what is it in reference to? Example: i...

Re: Visiting UK with Residence card

Hi Koded, I understand your frustration with the UK embassy (no offense but they are way too rude), and the worst is that they are never clear to a simple question, but I found a UK website that will asses your situation and will tell you if you need a visa or not (is a government website). https://...

Re: Urgent help regarding naturalisation!

Hi Janet0001, Unfortunately, the Naturalization-INIS-guys will know about your problem because of the Police statements. Example: One of my friends had a similar problem when drinking in a pub a few years ago. He applied 9 months earlier and his application got rejected because of that (he didn't sa...

Can I live outside Ireland or Europe and retain my Irish C?

Hi everyone, I have a question: Can I reside outside Ireland (or Europe) and retain my Irish Citizenship? It seems a silly question, but I got a few job offers in America and the only thing that stops me is I'm applying for naturalisation/citizenship in Ireland. My wife is Irish and she's willing to...
