Re: Place of Birth

It says city only the British passports. For example I was born in Johannesburg South Africa and my British passport says only Johannesburg. Using a different passport doesn't change where you were born!! Thanks for your reply. Believe it or not for Palestinians it does... our situation is very com...

Place of Birth

Hi all - I am about to apply for naturalisation (ILR+1y). I have previously received my wokr visas and ILR using Israeli Travel Document with place of Birth = "Jerusalem, Israel". When i get my passport I don't want it to say Israel but would prefer it has either 'Jerusalem' only or 'Jerus...

Re: Why must decision be sent by letter?

Can I at least call them to get an answer? I don't think they will provide it. Any idea what number is the quickest way to reach them?
Thanks/

Why must decision be sent by letter?

The Home Office has confirmed that a decision has been made on my T2 application (in-country). Why can't they send me an email with the decision but instead force me to wait an excruciating 5 days (still to arrive)? What's the logic behind this? Anyone care to enlighten me? I'm having a heart attack...

My employer also said that 'Competitive' is enough. I haven't got my visa yet but I think it should be fine.

That seems okay to me. Double check the tier 2 policy guidance.
Wouldn't hurt to have a proof of address with you I guess (bank statement etc..)

Re: Tier-2 Sponser Query-- Please Help

This looks very suspicious to me. Please be careful. I don't see why they would need you to pay them to give you sponsorship if you are working for them. Unless it's a f4ke business image (with website) that sells sponsorship for money.

Re: Switch sponsor on tier 2 general visa

1) I'm not sure you can apply for ILR using two different tier 2s culmination of 5 years - someone else will need to answer this. 2) Your employer should be able to issue the CoS very quicky (matter of minutes). They can only do this though once they have completed the RESIDENT LABOUR MARKET TEST, w...

Re: Tier 2 General

If you have been on a tier 4 visa for the last 12 months then you are exempt from RLMT.

With regards to salary, I think you will have to agree on a minimum base salary with your employer and put that in the application form.

May I propose that people also include the method of application?

2) Priority postal
3) Premium In-person

Notifying UKBA of Redundancy or Resignation

Hi, My current employer has decided to make me redundant (not served notice yet). I have another employer who will soon help me apply for a new visa. When can my current employer notify UKBA that I have been made redundant/resigned? I don't want this to interfere with the new application what so eve...

Re: RMLT -Switching from Tier2(General) - Tier2(General)

Your LAST granted leave to enter has to be PSW in order to be exempt of RLMT. Now you are in Tier 2 already and no longer on PSW so you have to do RLMT. Sorry :(

Re: Booking Appointment Before RLMT

You cannot have an appointment before RLMT. The reason is that before you apply you'd need COS (Certificate of Sponsorship) in which your employer would give the details of RLMT. If the date is after your appointment date it menas your COS is invalid and your application will be refused. The best o...

Re: Passing RLMT

Thanks, I understand that normal applications in-person are decided on the day, but since for tier 2 there needs to be RLMT, doesn't that mean they will need to do an investigation and therefore takes longer?

Hi guys, I have a sponsor who is wants to hire me but needs to do RLMT. They have previously done this but the ad was not sufficient enough to offer me the job so they have to do it again. My question is, can I book an appointment for in-person application before the end date of the RLMT or will thi...

Re: Tier 2 visa change due to new employer

I just went through this process. If you have a valid Tier 2 visa at the time of your application you automatically satisfy the maintenance requirement. No need to worry about your bank account, or even sponsor's maintenance certification. Some people at HO may not be aware of that though. I actual...

Applying to tier 2 after being let get by first employer

Hi guys,

Just wanted to check if there are any issues or things that someone should look out for when applying for a new tier 2 visa with a new sponsor after being let go from a current tier 2 sponsor and visa is curtailed.

Thanks.

I am also interested in this information.

With regards to biometrics, if you're doing this premium in person application, then you can give them there I think.
