It seems that HO has actually closed the HSMP scheme. This is how. Many people from other countries will qualify under the scheme. Then they will come to UK. BUT, when they are required to extend their FLR, unless they can earn high enough in UK, their FLR will be REFUSED! So, there is no gurantee t...

The earlier command paper said for WP holders, the pass mark will be 50 (using quite similar criteria) - let's see what's stored in our future.....

To be honest, the scoring system looks much more easier for young (below 30) applicants. However, it is too tough for people over 32 unless you have Master's or PhD or earn a fortune instead!

Well, it was expected. And it is good that new criteria will eliminate points for experience (many qualified candidates are refused on this ground which is quite hard to prove). HOWEVER, the shocking part is that (if I read that link correctly) those who will apply FLR under old HSMP will be judged ...

What you've got is correct.

Unlike new application, for change of employment, they just issue an approval letter and sends it to new employer.

The employer applies for WP - so they can keep it.

A copy of WP should be given to the employee.

during FLR application - the visa is stamped on employees passport and a letter (mentioning candiates employer name, salary, position etc.) is issued and that should remain with the employer.

Can I enter UK with old employer's visa?

I used to work for company A under WP. I recently joined in company B who successfully got new WP for me. However, I am yet to apply for the FLR under new WP. But I need to travel to my home country urgently. Can I re-enter under the visa of my old WP? In my new WP letter, they say I have 6 months a...

I agree with what said in above post.
HO can't implement what it wants on illegal immigrants. But they can implement what they want on legal migrants!
HO will love the opportunity that somebody is praising them rather than criticizing. So, they may be lenient on 5-yr ILR issue.

Mortgage/tution fees are just the tip of iceberg. For WP holders it is a dicey situation. If a WP holder, after finishing 4 years in UK, loses job now, unless he can find another employer to sponsor WP [which is difficult more often than not] he will have to leave the country with family (dependants...

If one is already in UK under WP and moving a similar position under different employer - isn't it the case then new employer need not show 3 months employee search?

AFAIK, job advert & 3 months candidate search is required when the new employee is coming outside UK/EU.

Your new employer should file a new WP application for you. Your old WP is no longer valid for new work.

Well, frustrating is the UK salary itself!

For over 28, to get 25 pt under income, one needs to earn
Rs 600,000 in India
£ 40,000 in UK

Now it is far easier to achieve that figure in India than in UK!
So, those who are already in UK (under WP) gets penalized!

I doubt if they have equivalent 3rd world category income under new Tier-1 rule! Basically they don't want applicants from Asia/Africa. So, they may very well state in rule that only 1st world currency equivalent income will be considered. That makes ones must first come to UK under work permit and ...

What the hell is going on???

Someone says current visa holders are not affected, someone says everyone is affected.....

Why the newspapers and TV news channels are silent over it???

Even junior school kids will run a project which is better than HO's performance!

Damn!
