I am still puzzled at the inconsistency in the time taken for applications.
Why is it so? How come some applications take only 5 days, some 20 days and some 2 months too?

Whilst this case shows that postal appln. gets delayed, I thought I have read in a few sites that NCS 'is not a priority service'. I am not too sure that NCS appln. go thru a priority route....

does the debitting of the fee indicate anything on the application being processed that it has hit the queue or something?
