No, it say sto participate in the ceremony and return the certificate for amendments. I am worried because of the possible delay and waiting time.

I have got the invitation letter today and my wife's name has been mis-spelt incorrectly. I really hope and wish that this gets sorted ASAP. How was your experience? Did you get the replacement certificate immediately - i mean how long did it take to get the replacement certificate with the correct ...

am not too sure, of course u r an expert.
does the invite letter come from the HO or the local council?
If so, are we ok to ring up the local council to follow-up adn find the status?

Hi, submitted appln. via NCS Bradford on 06.10.2005 Criteria : 4 yrs WP and 2+ yrs ILR Card debitted on 10.10.2005 Acknowledgement recd. on 11.10.05 Approval letter recd. on 17.10.2005 (letter dated 14/10/05). Waiting to hear reg. the ceremony. It has taken about just 6 working days. I think the NCS...

timeline

I am still puzzled at the inconsistency in the time taken for applications.
Why is it so? How come some applications take only 5 days, some 20 days and some 2 months too?
Can someone throw any light?

when was the money debitted?
did the NCS centre give u any indications of the trends in recent weeks?
why dont we keep track of the progress to see the processing time trends now?

Whilst this case shows that postal appln. gets delayed, I thought I have read in a few sites that NCS 'is not a priority service'. I am not too sure that NCS appln. go thru a priority route....

ya, all his visits are business related and his absence is well within the prescribed limits.
but , my point is, lookslike postal applns. take longer than NCS applications?

when you submitted the application, did they indicate any timelines for approval? Lookslike someone has got it in just 5 days!!!!!!
I did not understand the relavance of being present in UK for the next 5 business days. Why?

Hearty congrats! Well done!
I am a real fan of this NCS. I think it is a great idea and works well for straightforward applications.
I have submitted my application today using NCS and shall start waiting now with fingers crossed!!!!!!!!
