Re: Initial in country leave to remain to ILR

Hi :D

Thanks for the reply.

I know I sound thick but when is leave to remain granted? Is it the date showed on the BRP or is it the date I applied for Tier 2?

Initial in country leave to remain to ILR

I can't seem to get my head around the requirements for ILR. I understand the qualifying period is counted backwards from the application date but then how do I know when I can apply if I am not sure about the start date of the qualifying period? :?:  I came to the UK on a Tier 4 (student visa...

Re: Do I need to submit the Degree Certificate to extend T2

Hi, you're welcome. I went for the Premium Application - as I wanted to know for sure when to resign etc. I got mine end of last month :)

Re: Do I need to submit the Degree Certificate to extend T2

Hi, I did not need to submit any other documents than my passport, my previous BRP, the application form and passport photos when I applied for extension. However, it was mentioned on the form that if you feel it could help with the decision then you include additional documents. Hope this helps.

Re: Tier 2 switching employers early and ILR

thanks manci, you've been really helpful about the whole visa switching process ... i just spoke to HR and they said it's their policy to sponsor for an initial two year period, which is annoying given that I paid for the visa fees and I will have to possibly pay double now for another extension... ...

Re: Tier 2 switching employers early and ILR

Hi manci :D First Tier 2 leave was 1st October 2011 I assume as the validity was until 1st November 2014 and usually approved initial applications are given three years and one month (that was also the start date for my job). I am not sure what the end date is in the current CoS as this was not prov...

Tier 2 switching employers early and ILR

Hello Once again, I am approaching you experts to get clarification and advice. So I was on a Tier 2 visa which was due to expire on 1st November 2014. This was an in country application switching from Tier 4 student. I switched employers recently and now the Home Office have issued a visa to be val...

Re: URGENT - Manci, or anyone, help please!

Hi manci, just wanted to thank you for your help. :D

As expected the sponsors did say that they do not offer screen print outs of the CoS details. In the end, I've had to ask my current employer to withdraw their CoS!

Re: URGENT - Manci, or anyone, help please!

Thanks manci for being ever so helpful :) I've been doing loads of research and it seems from the SMS user guides, once you have a reference number, the CoS has been assigned. Also, it would seem that I should have asked my current employer to withdraw their CoS prior to being assigned one by my pro...

Re: URGENT - Manci, or anyone, help please!

Unfortunately, it's not the sponsors' policy to provide with screenshots of the SMS. Is there guidance that says they should?

Hi manci, many thanks for the reply :D

I have the references for both but not sure how to check their status? I thought reference numbers meant the CoS are assigned?

URGENT - Manci, or anyone, help please!

I am on a Tier 2 visa which is due to expire in a few months. My current employer therefore issued me a CoS earlier this week for an extension. I have however accepted a new position with another employer who has now produced another CoS for me. I read everywhere that if one already has a CoS assign...
