Re: SET (M) ILR application date

Thank you so much for your response! I was considering calling an immigration advisor. I used them previously but this time sorted out everything myself. Now in the process of uploading documents. Looking at the SET M timelines on the other boards, I anticipate it would be 6 months!

SET (M) ILR application date

Dear all, I moved from Tier 2 to FLR (M) in 2016. The leave to remain was granted (as in my BRP) on: 16/03/2016 (I was in UK on the day) I renewed it on: 17/09/2018 The current visa is valid up to: 13/04/2021 I got confused about the date when I could apply for ILR. 5 years would be counted from 16/...

Re: Travel to Schengen, without visa, for EEA-family members

URGENT advice needed - Hi everyone, I need to travel to Netherlands on 7 July 2016. My wife is a British citizen and I have a spouse visa (FLRM) with a BRP card. Do I need the visa to travel to Netherlands along with her ? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: FLR(M) from Tier 2 General In Person

Had my appointment today. All good, got the confirmation letter. Now hoping to get the BRP card soon. Anyone knows how long that might take ? Congratulations Aj1788. Our appointment is next week. Can you please let me know what documents you gave to the case registration person? Did they ask you an...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Same day application - 16/03/2016 (Croydon)
Decision made - same day i.e. 16/03/2016
Biometric card received - 18/03/2016

Everything surprisingly fast. I was worried about not receiving the card in good time as travelling next weekend but receiving it in two days was something I was not expecting. :D

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Thanks ! Yes photos can never be bad :) If we submit 6 documents each (12 overall), do all 6 need to be from different sources ? So we both have bank statements for last 18 months, HMRC and NHS letters and few other things but not sure if we can produce a unique docuemnt for each month (as in 6 docs...

Re: FLR(M) from Tier 2 General In Person

Thanks, yes £1200 is a a huge amount and I don't think any one to accompany me to the appointment. However, he also offered a service to check all my documents for £350. I am slowly going through the form and gathering all that I might need. 1. My wife got her UK visa last year and now she is a dual...

Re: FLR(M) from Tier 2 General In Person

Thanks both for your kind replies. A friend of mine who recently went through the exact same process told me that the advisor did not contribute much although it was good to have peace of mind that they were not missing out on any details. Today an advisor sent me a quote of £1200 for this service, ...

Re: Applying for Tier 2 out of country of citizenship + TB T

Thanks a lot for your reply. Yes, this is a biometric appointment. The visa processing times for tier 2 visa at this center is 93% in 2 days and so on. However, I have my appointment for July 29, is it possible that UKBA returns my application saying that it is not possible to apply from Amsterdam ?...
