Good morning, I sent my application in on Wednesday and found out they received it this morning. I have asked them to return the following documents: 2 passports, marriage certificate, and marriage certificate translation. Has anyone had any trouble with asking for the return of the translation of t...

Re: EEA2 Application after Swedish Marriage

Found the home office phone number and gave them a ring. Didn't realise there was a number. 0300 123 2253. For those that may wonder the same thing, the woman from the home office said that the unofficial certificate (or momento as I referred to it) was acceptable for the application as long as it's...

EEA2 Application after Swedish Marriage

Hi all, I'm hoping there is someone on this board that has applied for a residence from marrying a Swede and has some advice. I recently married a Swede. Apparently when you marry a Swede in Sweden (which we did), you receive no official marriage certificate. You receive a certificate but it has no ...

I already live in the UK on a student visa that ends Feb 2015 and will be applying for either RC or FP through my EEA spouse from within the UK since I'm still a resident under my visaa. We'll get married next month i...

EEA2 via student or employee? Help me make my decision pls

Good morning everyone, I will be applying for RC through my EEA spouse. She is a full time student but she works part time as well. I was advised to apply stating that she is an employee rather than student as the process is easier. She works for 2 companies (both event staffing in London) and the c...

Re: Longer EEA FP

Thanks for the reply. Here is my tentative plan: I'm currently living in the UK on a student visa which is valid until February 2015. I live with my Swedish girlfriend (4 year relationship) in London. We are flying to Sweden in October to get married but will return because she is working and studyi...

Longer EEA FP

Hi, So I'm reading on the EEA FP application website (https://www.gov.uk/family-permit) and it says that if I'm married to an EU citizen I can stay longer than 6 months. Does this mean I can get a longer EEA FP or does it mean I have to apply through EEA2 to stay longer? As of now, we plan to stay i...

Re: A few questions about EEA family permit

Thanks for the tips! I think we'll pursue the worker route. Do you know if we can apply separately under both routes (worker and student) Is that allowed? Just as a back up plan I guess. Also, is 15 hours a week the minimum? Does she have to earn a certain wage? For how long before we apply must she...

A few questions about EEA family permit

I've been reading this forum quite extensively over the past week and still uncertain about a fee things. There's different answers on each thread, that's why I'm confused. 1. My EEA wife and I currently live in the UK. I've noticed some people have been applying for EEA1 and 2 permits simultaneousl...

Re: New online visa app for EEA family permit

Thanks, for the help. I noticed that exercising treaty rights as a student, she must provide evidence of private comprehensive sickness insurance and evidence of funds available. What is deemed as a private comprehensive insurance policy? It says she can declare stating that she has sufficient funds...

Re: New online visa app for EEA family permit

Hello All, Quick question about applying for an EEA family permit: can I apply while inside the UK? Back story: I'm an American national with a Swedish girlfriend of 4 years. We are both currently living in the UK as students (I'm on a tier 4 visa). We are considering getting married in her home cou...
