Thats exactly what we are saying here ursamyn isnt it? If the rules remain same by 2012...you will ge able to claim for 10 points ( 28 or 29 yrs) referring to your first grant of Tier 1 in 2009.

Thanks Silverline. You are correct. My Statutory leave is consecutive but after finishing that I took my Parental leave which apparently is not considered as maternity absence. Hence the query.

Its Paternal leave and not Paternity Leave. Paternal leave can be taken anytime after your Maternity leave by mothers or fathers (now) till your child is 5yrs.
